No, he's going through a purple patch that isn't reflected in the rest of his career. Agyemang had one, Wardley had one. It doesn't mean I'd be scared to face them or that they were good players. Stats can also be deceptive, eg Nugent looks deadly with 15 goals until you realise 12 were from penalties and he is their penalty taker.
I usually bow to your great knowledge mate, but I fear you need to re-visit this! Doesn't really make much sense. (Sorry! )
Thanks mate, that didn't make ANY sense at all Changed it, meant Hill at left back away from home. "Imo I think we should play a different back four home and away. Away I would like us to defend and grind out results, Simpson-Onuoha-Dunne-Hill would make us incredibly hard to beat. At home a back four of Simpson-Onouha-Dunne/Hill-BAE wil give us the option of playing a higher line with a more pace and a better ball player/passer at left back."
It sounds good Norway. I suppose the disadavantage is we would not have a stable , settled back 4. I think as well Arry would want to be careful not to expose Clint at LB to a fast, tricky Right Winger Home or Away, when BAE ought to be the better option there.
agree with this. if we fancy ourselves, shouldn't we go with our strongest XI week in, week out? i think everyone can agree we're being kept on a lead and not playing to our potential.
I don't think anybody's talking about signing every player who hits form at some stage in their career. I think we'd rightly slate any manager/scouting team that ignored a player in their preparations (whether you call it a purple patch in an otherwise crap career or a danger man) based on their wiki stats.
