If they hadn't been seduced by the illusion of power then they could have picked up a lot of seats from labour and tory voters who have had enough of the same old ****e. Now, they will probably be overtaken by the raving monster loony party.

    Very true.

    They are completely finished.

David Steel and Paddy Pantsdown will be turning in their grave (if they're dead that is).

The current system is: southerners and rural people vote tory, northerners, celts and benefit scroungers vote labour and they do so year in year out without question. The whole thing is decided by a small amount of floating voters.

Anyone else in favour of proportional representation?

Not everyone in the south is a Thatcher-bumming ****wit. I seriously doubt the Tories will get in next election, even with nearly every media outlet blaming everything in the world, including AIDS, on Tony Blair and Gordon Brown.

The Tories are ****ed.Milliband is useless but people don't hate him as they did Brown.but the real reason they have had it,UKIP aside is this: They could have gained thirty seats from boundary changes but they needed LibDem support to get it through. The Tories scuppered House of Lords reform and as a reprisal Clegg withdrew support for the changes. Effectively it gives Labour a 5% headstart.Scottish Independence is the only thing that can save Dave now.
    One bullet ...Gove for me.

Or on the flipside, George Osborne and Michael Gove are both drowning and you only have time to save one of them. What type of sandwich do you make?

He's on planet politic - a strange and pointless place to be as you obviously can't make a difference via a vote - if you could they'd make it illegal.
