Reina for capt no way!

GK capts are rubbish (not in amongst it all) and Reina was struggling to motivate himself let alone a team!

 

gk captains are bad as they make themselves usually un droppable, which it shouldn't be like.

Casillias only lasted for the time he did because he was made captain, bad move.

 

Being made captain motivates players usually.
Though I wouldn't have a gk as skipper personally.

Rubbish is harsh. Kahn and Schmeichel were a very good captains for example. However, I understand what you mean, the position isn't ideal for being the captain

 

You could apply that logic to any player in any position. Gerrard as been somewhat undroppable at Liverpool and is now in that position with England, in both scenarios he's had times when he should have been dropped though.

I do agree that the captaincy shouldn't guarantee a place in the team though. I've never agreed with having a set captain for the national team, it should be the best man for the job on the day.
