Their interest in Saints waned the moment they saw the latest images from Fratton Park and realised they could buy a football club and grow rice as well. A spokesman for the Chinese syndicate said "We always like to diversify and owning a paddy field and a run down football club at one and the same time made great sense to us."
Yes, the long running saga starring Matthew and Barry, as narrated by that old guy from the Deep South; Uncle Ben's Baz-Matty..... Coat on standby....
Not bored, just sleepy due to man-flu. Any road, there is an irony to all this; just as Pompey get their financial ship on an even keel, Fratton Park has yet more liquidity problems.....
In what sense..? It got rained on..? Sorry to hear about the man-flu. I've been around all day due to putting my back out while practising the guitar yesterday [don't ask].
When you think about pitches last Saturday, the same amount of rain fell in Hampshire and Dorset, the Fratton pitch was a muddy duck pond by Friday evening, the Bournemouth pitch finalling succumbed to waterlogging just before the start, the St Marys pitch was like a damp billiard table and I swear that if it hadn't rained just before half time they would have watered it, what is the secret here?
Drainage...I seem to remember when SMS opened it was mentioned we had a sucky system (technical term ).
