Geoff Crammond's Microprose Grand Prix was a legendary game. We played it on the Amiga on the turn based system. Nothing was more painful that watching your lead get cut to shreds when your turn was done. They just don't make games like that now.

omg, he made stunt car racer as well, didn't know that, it was awesome, we used to link up our amigas with an RS232 (I'll never forget the name of that cable, it took so long to f***ing find one) and play that, one session proved to long and mine died of exhaution I think, ah, the good old days...

I had GP1, GP2 and GP4 of the series. For a long time (even after PS1 etc came out) GP4 was by far the best racing sim out there and even now if you can find a system to run it on full graphics/resolution is still a pretty decent sim by todays standards

I think GP4 is still considered one of the most realistic sims of an F1 season ever released, I wonder if any of the teams approached him to work on theirs.

So we're agreed then, Geoff Crammond to run F1 when Bernie goes.

Judging by the amount of mods made for it, it can't be that hard to get running. Not a game I'd actually come across much, but if I can get it running with some of these mods, I might give it a shot:

Read up on Wiki that there is a loyal band of programmers who have kept this alive!

May have to have a hunt around. Still have the discs for GP4.

There definitely exists a 2013 mod for it, there's videos from it on youtube.

Bernies time as a global business man is just about spent, true as others have already said he won't go to prison he is just far too rich and will buy his way out of trouble, and as we all will probably never know, being a billionaire has several advantages, but Ecclestone has run his course and its time for new thinking, although I'm not sure Horner is the man for the job, how about someone off the wall like EJ.

Bernie did a brilliant job during the early days of his tenure and actually managed to get the squabbling rabble that were the F1 teams to more or less agree a way forward, god knows where F1 would have ended up if he hadn't taken control, but that's the big problem with engineers, they only see the detail and not the big picture, and by god Bernie could see the big picture for sure !!!!

he might, but on the other hand it isn't poor people he's screwed over, it's other rich people. So the Judge is reserving judgement as he decides which set of political contacts he wishes to appease.

Anyone tried using GP4 with Windows 8? Couldn't get it to work with Vista.
