Gaby Zakuani is the first Posh player to leave, moving to Greek top Division side Kalloni on a free transfer. Good luck Gaby you have been a pleasure to watch and a model professional.
Permanent transfer request for Jack Grealish rejected by Aston Villa but they have accepted our loan request. Grealish has played for Notts County since the beginning of the season and that loan deal expires on 13th January. The decision whether to move to Posh rests with the player himself.
Don't think so. Tony died in April 'survived by 2 sons', Jack has at least one brother and two sisters. Also Jack was 'tweeting' quite merrily around that time, no mention of any family deaths.
Tyrone Barnett at Bristol City for a medical today, likely to make loan switch until the end of the season
If you play 'long ball' football up to a tall striker who can win the ball in the air and lay it off or hold up to bring other players in then he is useful, though he can look a bit lethargic and lazy. Also an excellent defender during corners and set pieces thanks to his height and heading ability - he cost us over £1 million but he does not suit our style of play, ball played out from the back and kept on the floor most of the time with a midfield diamond and 2 up front. (He was also involved in some off-field shenanigans in Peterborough City centre last year along with Emile Sinclair and Nat Mendez-Laing).
Tyrone Barnett has moved to Bristol City on loan. Rumour floating around we have made a move for Rochdale's Scott Hogan but nothing confirmed
Not a lot. A young striker (21) who can also play on the wing. Began with Rochdale in their Youth team before doing the rounds of various non-league clubs. Rejoined Rochdale this season after a brief stint at Hyde in the Conference Premiership. Has scored 13 goals in his last 30 appearances (including against Leeds in the Cup). West Ham (when they were still in the Championship) and Doncaster have shown interest in him as well as Birmingham, for whom he had a trial, but nothing has come of it. Kane Ferdinand has also left the Posh to go on loan with Luton until the end of the season.
Posh and Rochdale agree terms for deal on Scott Hogan, however player's wage demands scupper deal. Posh also miss out on Kidderminster winger Joe Lolley who now appears destined for the Championship with Huddersfield
Yea and he looked bloody good doing it as well, probably looked one of the best players on the pitch (although none of our players showed up)
Just as a matter of interest, have you any idea what the average weekly wage is at Posh, and what would your top earner be on?
Top earner probably around £10 - 12K (someone like George Boyd who was reputed to be earning that) with the average probably in the £3 - 4K range, (maybe even lower bearing in mind the number of former youth players we have in the squad).
