My words carry far more weight than yours do pal, if you stopped stoking the flames at every opportunity then people on the website might one day treat with due respect but for now you command very little. You shouldn't tell others to grow up when your sole aim on this website is to annoy and antagonise, it is a wonder how you manage to rangle yourself out of the many bans you have already had.

Vetch - Me? I wasn't having a go at anyone. OK maybe I was but it's definitely not you. <laugh> No offence intended and I know Valley has enough to put up with.

Project: "your sole aim on this website is to annoy and antagonise" - He's not alone, mate. That's the problem. <ok>

I was going to nickname them the Three Amigos but that's far too jolly. PGF used a clip from Macbeth yesterday Act I Scene I and that's much more appropriate if you get my drift. <ok>

    Anyhoo....

    Tom Ince. Good inee? :)

That Laudrup geezer was quite good at dribbling & running with the ball with great bursts of speed too.

This is how I see it, the game changes not only on the playing field... the science behind it changes to and this makes a big difference. Players can run faster, longer. They can turn tighter have that quick line of thought for longer into the game. They are taught how to shift their centre of gravity in a more efficient way.

Now if Eusebio was 26 today then yes, he would be as ridiculously good as Messi and Ronaldo today because he would have benefitted from todays sport science knowledge in training. However he didn't have that back in the sixties and seventies, the only thing that let Eusebio down to being as good as todays two 'Greats' is that he was born to early.

If you instantly beamed Ronaldo and Messi back into the sixties and seventies then they would have been taking harder knocks but their antics wouldn't work and they'd know it, but their modern day training would blow the football world away, they would be scoring so many goals in the Top 3 leagues and no defence, none, not one... would stop either of them from accelerating away and putting that ball around the keeper.

DaiSwan doesn't think sprinting is important as shown in one of his previous posts in this discussion.... yet all attacking players from all ages of the sport had to sprint past the defenders. Like I said, his views are always null and void.

Its always difficult to compare players from different periods but having see the '66 world cup albeit as a school boy I can vividly recall it and can only say that Eusebio was immense and as Project says above if he born in today's era with all the sport science he would be a £60m plus player without a doubt.

This type of debate takes place in various,if not all sports.

    Boxing - Ali or Marciano.

    Tennis - Laver or Federer.

    Golf - Nicklaus or Woods.

Snooker - Steve Davis or me!!!

Opinions vary as to who is better and why.
It's all very interesting and quite fascinating to compare the different eras, and it's really sad to see some of today's sports followers rubbish the opinions of others, particularly those of people whose experiences span more than one era.
It says a great deal about them,I think.

Read it again sunshine and learn something....I said you have to be able to run and take on players with the ball and score most of the time.....Players who kick the bag of wind about today cant do it like they use to do years ago.<ok>

I think we should just appreciate great athletes from all eras as those from yesteryear cannot be compared to the modern sportsman/woman due to the advancements in sports science, nutrition etc.

So basically, anyone else airs an opinion and they are being disrespectful, you do it, and its only an opinion, your one of those people. Right now I get it.

Do you agree with all the pundits and ex professionals who were all talking about how por Man Utd were tonight, or do you agree with the many Swans fans who think we were under valued in the post match discussions, that there goes to show that comments means absolute jack **** in the grand scheme of things. And is only used to try and back up an opinion. May even go check to see if you have commented on the post match actions and said anything about the lack of mention we got, after all they were the ex professionals talking. <doh>

See I was right, As we can see, only when it suits is the "ex-professional" card is used, if it doesn;t suit, its biased haha

So now you are being specific, same ****, your just avoiding the point made. No surprise. Same point, your opinion is "disrespectful, and fll of speculation, tell me I am wrong, or don't, and instead pick on a misworded point to try and avoid the point altogether.

It also has its drawbacks such as Alzheimer's. But I can only hope you do not suffer from that. But that would make two things you do not have in your old age, as I know you do not possess the ability to enlighten.

That part wasn't aimed at you.

So it is, its in a quote bubble, good spot young sir.
