I haven't been shot down for anything, I quite clearly stated we would get a smaller attendance than yourselves. I also stated the thread was done tongue in cheek to your supporters claiming to sell out every game. Carlilse actually were responsible for about one third of the attendance. Do you realise how pointless your comments on this thread are and how ****ing boring you sound?
When it comes to support i'm afraid their is no winners in my opinion..Sunderland fans were an embarrassment in both numbers and vocal support. Carlisle fans brought a supposed 6,000 fans, but can only muster about 2,000 for league games at home, and worst of all, a hell of a lot of the post match bother, including the group of fans who I stopped from getting a scudding, had North Tyneside rather than Cumbrian accents.. For me, the biggest loser is the once great FA Cup.
Never mind lack of vocal RAW, I reckon the groans & moans started after about 3 minutes. Why the **** anyone would wanna play for us with that is anyones guess.
OK mate, I always react when people attempt to take the piss out of our crowds. We both have good support most of the time.
i personally think we both had crowds to be proud of this weekend, how many do you reckon you will get in the league cup or fa cup next round.........
brilliant can i just ask mate would you swap our positions right now? bottom with all the teams in the bottom half to play at home, semi final of the league cup, 4th round at home in the fa cup or your 3 game run defeated in the position you are in? same question to you hat
Honestly be in our position. Your club (ours to a small extent)seems very drab at the moment. We are on a bad run but we'll improve after man city.
That's genuinely a tough one - probably for both sets of fans when we put our inbuilt bias aside. I posted the following on a thread on our board in response to the way the Cup isn't given the respect it deserves anymore... Football is about the glory of winning and if you go ahead and win one (or heaven forbid both) of the cups then that will bring times that can never be taken away from you, no matter what happens elsewhere. Those are the days you live for as a football fan. On the other hand, you also want to be playing the best teams. It doesn't affect your passion for the team or whether you want to go and watch, but we would all prefer to be up against the top teams than playing in lower leagues. If I was guaranteed coming straight back up like we did last time (hell of an enjoyable year as it turned out) then I'd snap your hand off for the swap. Without that guarantee I wouldn't And seeing as there is no guarantee I'd probably decline, but also feel a little bit disappointed in myself, and a little bit ashamed, for doing so. Edit: If you win a cup and stay up and we dont qualify for champions league (which we wont) then no question you've had the better season and I'd snap your hand off for a swap in a heartbeat - but only if you won!
