what? west spam got hammered 5-0, how in any thought of thinking would that be good? sunderland won 3-1, through to the next round, have scored 3 goals, regardless of opposition it's confidence and they need it at the moment, what other choice? play a full team of youngsters? a win is a win
Just 7 changes from the team that played Villa. We may not have the quality but we have the depth to juggle this.
May I refer you to the title of the thread Funk.I am offering the possibility that an old gnarled seasoned manager may have produced a coup. Many forum fans like to wax lyrical about qualities such as passion and the importance of winning mentalities.Top managers now tend to focus on physiology and the long term impact of too many fixtures-esp if the squad is not of the highest quality ability wise.
how would it be a coup? they got mauled 5-0, there is a rot at west ham throughout the playing staff and regardless of whether youngsters turned out in the majority, a big blow like this is not good, and i'b be extremely worried as a fan of theirs sunderland progressing in the fa cup will not be their reason for any relegation should it happen
By fielding a bunch of youngsters all Allardyce has done is piss off the West Ham supporters, crushed the confidence of the players that did play and ensured West Ham would be embarrassed. Winning is a habbit and so is losing, they'll go to Man City on Wednesday and get tonked again. Today was a good chance to try and get some momentum
Ok, Well there's no way West ham lost on purpose, They're crippled with injury and lack depth, they were ripe for the picking. If going out ends up being beneficial to West ham then it's nothing more than a coincidence of circumstance, serendipity if you like. Chances are it won't make a scrap of difference because that seasoned manager you mentioned is ****e and so is his tiny crippled squad.
Spot on. And with that hammering will go his job. West Ham look shot to bits to me, at least we still look like there's some fight in us, if a lack of quality.
My mate went to the Forest game today. He said the Forest fans started singing your getting sacked in the morning at 3-0 and the West Ham fans joined in. Talk about getting the fans onside. Also: You know this for a fact do you? last time somone said this we went out and spend 14m on Fletcher and 10m on Johnson. Short is a smart business man then last thing he is going to do it announce we have a war chest so other clubs can have our pants down. Do I think is was a smart move by Sam?? No I don't, do I think Gus is the right man to keep us up? yes I do.
You might have a point if Hull didn't play all their ressies. It's hardly a problem if the second XI win.
Exactly Bum.We gave game time to those needing it.WHU,Swansea and Sunderland will have players getting leggy after their cup outings.I think if the league cup semis go as expected this could lead to crushed confidence. I think FA cup is great for Prem teams outside the relegation scrap.Europa league is awful except for the bigger clubs I think Hull may benefit from the fixture congestion at some of the other clubs. Steve Bruce will play reserve players unless we get into 5th round and league position is pretty safe.

Did Bob paisley or Bill shankly leave players out of other competitions NO, that was a joke today by Sam, he might get ticked off by the F A. I want the best team playing for us on Tuesday against Man u ( now the league cup is big for them !) and start Watmore and Fletcher up front, Ba in midfield they were very good today.
Funkster. You are missing the main point that YOU and the spammers are rolling around at the bottom and need every ounce of energy to get out of it.You still played players and will play players in your upcoming games who would do better if rested. This is a marathon and, as I marathon runner myself,I cannot remember many paticipants deciding to throw in a few extra miles.
Not being rude but this is one of the most ludicrous threads I've ever seen ......... not one part of it makes any sense and why do we want to know about what a Hull supporter thinks about Leeds United If supporters truly believe that never winning anything and scraping by in the Premier League is 'King' then it's laughable. And why would a Hull supporter believe they're out of danger of relegation? 6 points away from Palace who won at Hull, 1 home game in January against Chelsea, Norwich & Palace away then Spurs at home and Sunderland away in February. Zero transfer kitty ? Unlikely to win a trophy? Burnley? Allardyce smart for humiliating the travelling supporters? Yeah, I bet the Hammers were all saying, 'Sam's sure is a smart cookie', on the coaches back to London
