    My abiding memory of that day was the Beat breaking his arm and being spat at by Citeh fans as he was lead away from the field! The last ever game for the legend and what a horrible way to finish! I was mortified for him.

    The best player the Shammers had was that Cnut Clive Thomas! My dad was going to go down to the refs dressing room afterwards to Stick one on him! I had never ever seen him so angry! <laugh>

    We were cheated in that semi final and my hatred for the Shammers has survived to this day!
