I've always rated Heitinga. Will add real strength to the defence if true,

    Taken from vital Swansea

After the Raheem Sterling loan link in the press recently, it looks like they've gone one better by linking us with a move for Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez!

Both Rodgers and his Liverpool assistant Colin Pascoe insisted that Sterling isn't going anywhere, and why would he when he's performing well and regularly for the Reds!? You have to wonder why the Mirror even bothered to write a story suggesting they could loan him out this month.

The latest silly rumour comes from SportsDirect News, and they think we're competing with our arch rivals Cardiff City to land Javier Hernandez on loan.

I've always thought he'd be the perfect striker for us, the amount of goals he scores for the little time he spends on the pitch is quite incredible. In just 46 Premier League starts, he has scored an impressive 34 goals. He has scored a further 20 goals in 34 cup games.

Hernandez has struggled since 2010 to earn a regular starting place at Old Trafford, but he was always going to find it even more difficult when Robin van Persie joined in 2012.

The 25 year-old has proved to be a very reliable impact-sub during his time with the defending champions, you only have to look at his goalscoring record to prove that, but you feel he'll only ever be a super-sub with the Red Devils.

A move for the Mexican certainly looks likely, but a loan move in January doesn't. What would shock us even more though is if he was to join either welsh side for the remainder of the season!

As much as an amazing signing it would be, it just has 'made-up story' written all over this one unfortunately.

    The player's agent recently said:

"I had a meeting with Manchester United's people about 10 days ago and they confirmed that there has been interest from various European clubs but it is not in their plan to transfer him,"

"Yes, they are aware that his impact has been limited but little by little he will integrate more. Against Stoke his pass led to a goal, so all he needs are more minutes."

One of our rumoured loanees, Wilfried Zaha, is being linked with Cardiff. Seems OGS is using his Old Trafford connections to land him. With Ince being courted by some top clubs and Sterling unlikely to leave Liverpool, our wing targets seem to be disappearing at a rate of knots. Hope Huw is going to be proactive in bringing someone in and not leave it until the last minute.

Zaha will choose though, but I expect a team like Everton to enquire and they would be instant favourites.

Crouch was supposed to be joining 'arry up the Rs wasn't he?

Although there are stories in the papers linking 'arry with a return to the Hammers....and they could certainly use Crouch's services.

According to the Mirror (I think) Stoke were hoping to replace Crouch with this Diouf character from Hannover this month....but he will almost certainly be joining Cardiff now as he has a history with Soljskaer. £2-3m.

Cardiff are also being linked with Jonny Williams at Crystal Palace for £3-4m.
Now, I can't see this myself as the Palace chairman has been quoted saying he would only let Williams go for big money (the likes of Man City and Arsenal have had him watched) and Palace have been negotiating an improved contract with him through December......

.....but he hasn't started a Premier League game for Palace and there is a slim chance that he is dissatisfied. Also I can't imagine he is Tony Pulis' cup of tea.

We should match any Cardiff bid IMO, just in case.
He would be perfect for us. Best at AM, but can also play on the wing or CM. (could be JDG's replacement).

....like an episode of Coronation Street this :)

We are continually being linked to this youngster; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abdisalam_Ibrahim

He is striving to be the Norweigan Patrick Viera apparently.
Was part of the Stromsgodset side that won the Norweigan title last season (on loan from Man City).
Lots of experience for a youngster, tall and strong it seems.
Did you see him play at all Norway Jack?

Jonny Williams is more suited to our style of play, Wales play more like Swansea than Cardiff and it is at international level that he has produced his best performances. But I doubt he will for anything less than £10,000,000.

Perhaps ML thinks we are OK at the back. There's bound to be a limit on domestic loan signings, so maybe he's keeping his powder dry for a decent striker.

According to the post we can add Ola John to the list of possible wingers (on loan); http://www.southwales-eveningpost.c...inger-search/story-20413465-detail/story.html
Some reports claim that Benfica will require €600,000 for his services until the end of the season with Ajax willing to pay up and Liverpool/us also interested.

They've also linked us to 19yr old Dundee Utd left back Andrew Robertson in the same article.

Was listening on the radio this morning and it was mentioned a few times that we are still in talks with Blackpool for Tom Ince.

Tomás Rincón (25yr old Venezuelan defensive midfielder and right-back...currently playing for Hamburg) is out of contract in the summer.
His lawyer has put out a story stating his wish to move to the Premier League this January.
    We were one of the clubs being mentioned as a possible destination;

Yes I heard that this morning. Decent player and fits Laudrup's requirements for versatility.

    Seydou Doumbia
    Hmm.
Is this a case of lazy journos putting 2 & 2 together and coming up with transfer speculation?
Swansea have an Ivory Coast international and here's another who wants to play in the Premier League?
    I think so

He's reported to be on more than £3 million a year in Russia - can't come close to that
Very unlikely to have European football next season - I'd expect players of this calibre to be insisting on that
Doing well in domestic cup competitions next season is a gamble for every team in the league

    Can't see this happening.

Meulensteen: "Bryan Ruiz will be allowed to leave"

    Real Betis interested.
I feel he could really suit us.
