Anyone (from either side of the fence) criticising either our gate or yours would do well to remember...

1) We are living in some pretty **** times financially for the majority of people

2) The North-East has been hit harder than most due to the number of public sector employees (who used to be) in the region

3) Christmas was less than a fortnight ago

4) Whether it is right or not ('not' in my opinion) the cups are not seen as a priority by either club so you know in advance it will not be the strongest team playing

I think anyone who attended either game should be applauded rather than focusing on those who were not there. I know I couldn't afford to and I'm sure many others were in the same boat.
