Barcelona are set to once again test Arsenal's resolve to keep Cesc Fabregas at the club by launched a new bid to bring the midfielder back to the Nou Camp, the Daily Mirror reports. Arsene Wenger now faces fighting a battle on two fronts as he tries to keep Fabregas at the Emirates and see off interest in Samir Nasri from the likes of Inter Milan. Gunners skipper Fabregas flies out to Madrid today to attend the launch of a new fragrance by fashion designer Angel Schlesser. He will then move on to Barcelona for a holiday, but Barca sources are looking at ways to firm-up their interest in the player they lost in 2003 when he was aged just 16. The Catalans rate Fabregas at £35 million, but know that Arsenal are unlikely to do business for less than £50million. But they are prepared to offer Wenger the 'next Fabregas' as a make-weight between the valuations. The Gunners will be offered a choice of players from Barca's academy to soften the blow of Fabregas' departure. Among the youngsters at Arsenal's disposal would be Spain under 21 midfielder Thiago Alcantaro, Andreu Fontas, defender Martin Montoya and Jonathan Dos Santos - younger brother of Tottenham flop Giovani.. Wenger's first preference remains to keep hold of Fabregas though. But with the club's trophy drought now extending to six years, he is aware that the task is not getting any easier. One of Barca's tactics might be to convince Fabregas to go public and confirm he wants to rejoin them. Alienating the Arsenal fans and making such a strong statement about his desire to leave would make it harder for Wenger to consider keeping him. Wenger believes he has a better chance of retaining Nasri, and that the Frenchman is angling for an improved deal at Arsenal rather than a move away from the club. Nonetheless, Inter Milan could come in with a serious bid for Nasri if their own creative midfield spark, Dutchman Wesley Sneijder, is prised away by Manchester United or Chelsea. But their hopes of pocketing upwards of £30 million for Sneijder and bringing Nasri in at around the £25 million mark might be a bit ambitious.
