I suppose it's just frustration of a club of their size being where they are for so long (not in the PL). They always get great followings, usually sell outs at every away ground, which just shows you the size of their fan base. I'm a big fan of McDermott though, and really don't think he is to blame. Warnock left that club in a poor state, and it needs some investment.

Get the feeling that Allardyce "knows where the bodies are buried" in relation to Gold, Sullivan & Brady's transfer "dealings". He'll want a bloody big pay off to keep quiet.

 

True, but Allardyce isn't exactly 'clean' himself when it comes to transfer is he. Was the word "bungs" invented for people like him.

 

Modern football supporters. I can empathise too. They see their eleven players losing to a side they feel they should be beating, in a competition the supporters obviously love. They pay their high priced ticket money and expect a better show. To be applauded by both players and manager after the match is almost an insult.

 

McDermott was probably equally disgusted. He called it his 'worst day in football', even worse than losing the Play-off final.

 

Wouldn't take it as an insult...players are virtually saying, well done at least you played your part. Of course Saints fans know better...if we are too vociferous, Boruc would throw something and Dani would start slapping our faces. Keeps us in our place.

 

Indeed, but he's another Redknapp where he always gets away with it, partly I think because he has the attitude "if I go down, I'm taking you with me"

 

If you're not supporting the players or the manager, who exactly are you supporting? If you're booing, you're not a supporter.
