I do understand what you mean G, but the truth of the matter is when the chances have dropped to him he's snatched at them. He cost Spurs £28m, he's done nothing under both AVB and Sherwood to suggest that he's worth it, granted he has been left isolated at times, but as a classic number nine playing in a very good Spurs team you'd expect much more of a contribution at all, he's shown absolutely no form whatsoever.

Problem with Soldado is that he's a penalty box striker. I'd bet half or more of his goals either come from the penalty spot or from the 6 yard box, and that they're 1 touch goals. If you aren't going to get good service into him then he isn't going to score many goals.

  5. A striker usually works off confidence too. Look at Torres, he was considered one of the worlds best at Liverpool because he believed he couldn't miss. Once that confidence deserted him he struggle and continues to do so.

I do agree he should have done more though. Being isolated and not getting the service shouldn't mean you can't finish when you do get a chance.

In the first half I thought Clattencunt was having a good game and keeping a lid on Wilshire trying his hard man act

Turns out I'm just way too nice and the incompetant twat just didn't want to make any decisions

<laugh> I didn't see your posts about his goals being in the box, I typed the reply up then went to make some food and get a drink then I came back and clicked post.

I'll leave you & Magic to it then, and try to post faster next time <laugh>

I see newcastle just showed the classic two faces of pardew... he took great delight in rubbing it into lambert didn't he about the magic of the cup... then promptly jumped out of the comp.

not a good bet tobes. I thought first when i just read this that yeah that might have been a shout but thinking on it... spurs? We played arsenal away and the game i watched was very like that game. Also unless soldado pen scores they do struggle.

I had said on one thread this week spurs would be inconsistent and get a mauling... then some spurs fan jumped right in like he was trawling.... 2-0 is not a hammering but the part of the game i saw? spurs were not able to get much of the ball at all. hard draw away to your worst rivals....
