http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/25589958 According to BBC's Ben Smith, this is what Clattenburg said to Lallana. If, that's true, then Lallana needs to get a grip and stop crying like a little bitch over something as pathetic as this.
Gordon Bennett, players are a little precious nowadays aren't they. I was expecting something a little bit more stronger than that.
Southampton have confirmed that Clattenburg comment. Poor Lallana, I hope he can recover from such a devastating insult.
Whilst I agree, it's still a pretty unprofessional comment from a ref. He's insinuating he's got too big for his boots since he got an England call up. If he's allowed to say that, Lallana should be within his rights to tell him to piss off but that'd probably have gotten him sent off.
Think it's quite unprofessional from Clattenburg on this occasion. Firstly it's a bit of a wind up and could have got a reaction and secondly it shows he has pre-determined ideas about players, every game should be a new game in a refs eyes.
This is really pathetic - Clattenburg should be dropped from the next game and llalana banned for three matches for trying to get the opposition carded, unsportsmanlike conduct. If players are really this sensitive then just start red carding anyone that says **** on the pitch. They want to behave like 5 year-olds then treat them like 5 year-olds.
Mandzukic would be a good buy, but no way would they sell in January, maybe summer....Obviously nobody in their right minds would want to sell such a top quality striker, but when you look at Bayern's possible attacking line up, they could do it and still have top quality attacking players!
Great result against the scum. To be honest the scoreline flattered them, it could have been four or five easily. Good to see that we can still beat the ****s even with several first team players rested. at Theo giving the spuds the two-nil gesture at the end. We own North London
