Too much to ask that they would have read the complaint in full I suppose.

You'd be fairer to quote the whole piece. There was more to it than a dismissive sounding "called it a disgrace" I actually thought it was an interesting snippet from the view of two ex-players.

**** if they said it's a disgrace how can we go on? We should change our name to cover up the disgusting thing we have done.

I'm probably the only person here who thinks the what Clattenburg said is actually mildly amusing (depending on how it was said and intended of course). People moan when refs are aloof, here is one trying to be a bit more 'pally' and he gets slated for it.

Unless our Club are prepared to make their side of the matter Public, we won't have a leg to stand on, to defend what is happening, I want to defend Adam obviously because of my bias, but I haven't any ammunition to use, firing blanks only makes things worse. So far we have only heard one side of the argument and that doesn't make it look justified and us a laughing stock, just feeding the Trolls and wind up merchants who must feel like pigs in **** at the moment. A message from the Club along the lines "that we feel wronged and have a good case, but won't pursue the matter because we know we won't get any support or justice in the present set up", might put the matter to one side and we can concentrate on the more important matters, particularly keeping our status in the Premier, let the boots do the talking.

Well I'm sticking to my theory that what we complained about wasn't what was said to Lallana, but the general officiating in the Everton game, citing what he said to Lallana as evidence of his bias.

Naturally the papers are focussing on the salacious stuff but there's clearly more to it than that, and Pochettino was obviously unhappy with Clattenburg's officiating after that game and didn't say anything about Lallana.

It's pretty obvious someone at a senior level at our club lives a fight and can't pass one up when the chance prsents itself. Tbf, he wins most of them. & i doubt this will do adam any harm but saints fans need to get right behind him.

No matter what the outcome, I have no doubt the fans will be right behind. I think it'll make the WBA game pretty good and may even get us a good atmosphere.

Tbh i think Clattenburg is in the wrong, if a referee is insulting a player from Liverpool it can be seen as bias when on the pitch.

    He should be banned,

Mauricio was laid back about everything when he first arrived, but has been getting more and more annoyed as he waited for our turn to come. Now madder than a wet cat...bet he wanted it raised as an issue and Nicola let him run with it if he cared that much. Not a coincidence it happened after MP's comments about our team being too handsome.

I didn't throw the comment in. It was a penalty. I was merely trying to phrase the situation as it was a penalty. It wasn't given and Clattenberg should've then told Lallana 'I haven't given it. Less of the mouth or I will book you and not said anything personal. He should've been professional and used the tools at his disposal and not tried to be a clever dick.

Makes you wonder how many others do this?

Most of the others I watch whether they be good or bad treat footballers the same way we treat our chldren. A simple 'No' or wave the player(s) away. or raise a finger, use their expression to say 'that's enough or you'll get booked. That is the way it should be. Officiate the game impartially, take action that they are required to take and then the higher authorities (FA / Premier League) then act on the situation.

Really? He stormed onto the pitch to confront the referee (Clattenburg, as it happens) after only his seventh game in charge.
