not sure first i heard about it, we been linked to him before seriously though, love to get someone like that but doubt it will happen.
I really don't understand football players these days. It seems they will reject the chance to play for arguably the most reputable club in England but will jump at the chance to play for a club with a manager who has a fancy foreign name who promises the pipe-dream of a "Champions League project" e.g. all those players inexplicably choosing Tottenham over us in recent transfer windows.
we've been the better team for the last 100 years though, and unless we go almost bankrupt like in 2009 then we will usually stay in the Champions League after making it the first time, unlike Tottenham. Edit: Also let's not forget the fact that in the grand scheme of things, Tottenham are nobodies in world football.
Exactly, it's one thing for their fans to buy into this amazing team delusion, but when players do it it's bemusing. They should know better, Spurs have been in the CL once in the last god knows how many years ffs.
Yet they still have a good chance of finishing above us again. They have a good squad and the right manager will do wonders with that team, there is definitely a long-term structure in place with Spurs.
Doesn't mean that's all he can leave for, just means his club doesn't have a choice if someone bids that much. I was joking anyway
ah but guys you've under estimated the Levy factor. from the outside he looks to be an ever growing ego who picks the players to buy and now the team too and i am wondering if he's going to end up ruining what he's building. no cl this year and tottenham face issues.. loris will want out just for one.
Paris Saint-Germain chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi sees no reason why Javier Pastore would want to leave during the January transfer window. The Argentinian playmaker has attracted interest throughout Europe, with speculation linking him with a move to Premier League side Liverpool. Attacking midfielder Pastore has made 12 appearances for the Ligue 1 leaders this term after a successful 2012/13 season, which saw him score four goals and provide eight assists. However, despite the rumours, Al-Khelaifi believes Pastore is settled at the Parc des Princes and insists the 24-year-old has played an important role in the club's recent history. "I am not sure Pastore wants to leave," he told L'Equipe. "When a player is unhappy it is difficult to keep him. But it is not the case with Pastore. "We will never forget he was one of the very first key players to join our project." Al-Khelaifi insists PSG will always remain loyal to their players and claims Pastore, who is yet to live up to the standards he displayed last term, is one of the leading players in the world. "We are loyal to our players as we ask them to be loyal to the club," he added. "Pastore is both a man and player of quality. Maybe he is in a difficult period, but he remains one of the biggest talents in the football world. "He knows he has to do much more. I still have big faith in him." Source: Sky Sports
Liverpool target Martin Montoya has seen his contract negotiations at Barcelona come to a halt - but the Reds face a fight with a number of other European clubs to sign the Spaniard. The Barcelona defender, 22, is out of contract in the summer, and talks over a new deal have proved anything but fruitful. Liverpool had appeared in pole position for his signature when managing director Ian Ayre jetted to Catalunya for talks over a move in November. However, the player's future remains unresolved and though contract talks with Los Cules have broken down, Liverpool face a transfer scramble to bring the right-back to Anfield. According to Josep Maria Orobitg, Montoya's agent, a number of clubs are keeping tabs on the Spanish under-21 international. "At the moment everything is stopped [regarding a renewal with Barcelona]," said Orobitg, speaking to Tutto Mercato. "The situation is clear - if we cannot reach an agreement on a new contract, Montoya will be free to find a new club. It's a complicated situation. "Possible future in Italy for Montoya? Every day I have to clarify the situation of Martin, who has been requested by three clubs in Serie A. "Montoya also has enquiries from other major European leagues, not just Serie A." said the same about sahko... they i think drive a hard bargain and are not in the business of shafting themselves on any fee.. I think they will sell him. they have replaced him now.
I have to say i'd step back from this guy unless he really wants to move to us and does so this window.. I just think he might be only after money and a free move and so will join anyone who offers most... ala willian. the reason he is for sale is he was terrible v bayern... and other things... barca only pay those they really want to.
