Sorry brb but I had to watch it on Sky and I know you don't like that but I'm at work. Gills worked tremendously hard. Thought Harriman was our MotM, most of the time he had 2 Wolves players to deal with but still bombed on up and down the left hand side all match. Dack was a real game changer. What a player he could be. Really attacked Wolves after he came on and just changed the whole look of the game. Keds was unlucky when he hit the post. For all wolves' possession they were poor in front of goal and, Credit to Gills for this, were restricted to long shots, their crossing was poor and didn't really trouble Nelson except for once in either half and the one in the second was given offside.

Great result and must have been incredible when Cody scored but Wolves could have easily won and on another day probably would have. But today was OUR day.

Just got back from the game. Thanks for all the congrats from non Gills fans much appreciated, absolute fantastic win.

Gemini...lol...let you off haha...I'll be missing the Brentford game for exactly the same reason and won't even have access to tv.

Anyway, match report from her-indoors watching on SKY TV (shame on her) as a non Gills fan...all in her words...
Bradley Dack changed the game :D
Bayo runs into people like a brick wall coming at yer...(i thought that funny)....good in the fact he just runs into them
Keds was her man of the match and unlucky not to score in her opinion, her favourite player on the night :emoticon-0115-inlov
Hessy looks like his dad who was in the crowd, you didn't need to know who he was his looks told you (bless)
Nelson some good saves, good goal keeper
Cody's ok but didn't get many chances
Barrett...no offence meant by this one and said tongue in cheek...he's a bloody cheat...although she 'didn't rate him' (her words)...:(
Legge nearly scored an own goal
    PT's 61 today! <bubbly>

It was Bayo who once again changed the game. His constant harrying of the wolves players made them make mistakes. He laid on the chance for kedwell to hit the post ( although keds should have squared it to I think it was Cody who was in a much better position ) and he also forced the corner from which we scored. He should be in the side from the start. He never will be fully fit if he only has a bit part to play.

    Just got home.
As I have been critical of Gregory in the past, I feel it only fair to say I thought he had a good game.
Harriman also worked really hard- as aforementioned he often had to cope with 2 forwards, & yet still attacked when possible.

To those who watched it on television ( when you could have attended in person ) - I have to say that you HAD to be there to experience the joy of the goal celebration - especially as Cody was engulfed by the fans immediately in front of me.

I think in all honesty a lot of luck finally came in for us tonight.

Wolves dont seem to have a goal scorer. For all their possesion and frankly good football they lack bite in the final third. If one of their strikers was on form they could habe anihallated us. We got luck with two goal mouth scrambles our end and scored from a third.

Some superb individual performances I must say. Gregory was top class. He has come on so much this season. Reminding me of Jackman more and more. Dack and hess look the business. They really need to keep starting. Harriman and Barrett back on form. Legge still a tad wobbly but better and Martin was solid, does bug me he doesnt go forward as much now though, maybe its confidence maybe PT but I miss those mazy runs and crosses.

Our only weak link to my eyes in ***an, he honestly seems to do nothing. I criticised Gregory a lot but at least hr always seemed to want to be on the ball. ***an must have had under ten touches... when Dacks on the bench you need to wonder why ***an is getting the starts.

Good result though. Proud of us tonight.

What a fantastic win! I thought we defended fantastic as a Team, and dealt with Wolves pressure well. The first half we didn`t threaten the Wolves goal, and they had the better of the play and chances.I thought Gregory was our best player in the game, especially in the first half. The game changed when Dack and Akinfenwa came on.Dack ran at them and played some good passes, and Bayo was strong and his flick ons were useful.Kedwell came close to scoring when his shot hit the post and bounced back.We won a rare corner in the last minute, and the ball fell to Cody who scored from inside the area.Priestfield erupted and so did I in my living room! I would have been happy with a point, and we somehow nicked the win.It made a change for us to to grab a late winner for a change :D .

This was an unexpected win,and moves us up to 14th.What a start to the Year.It was great to finally play well on TV and win.Credit to Taylor who picked the right Team.Legge had a great game,as did Harriman, and Gregory.Nelson made an important save which he tipped away, and he looked confident. The whole Team played well. When you compare our Team to Wolves their budget is massive, and players like Doyle are on massive wages. This was a much better performance from when we played at Wolves back in August, hopefully we can take the confidence into our next game.

Looking at the Wolves forum we:-

Are the worst team in the league...........yet they couldn't beat us.

They dominated/controlled the game.........did they? since PT has been here we have adapted a style of play that surrenders possession in all but the final third of the pitch, we allow teams to play tippy tappy football but stop them from attacking our goal, their own forum confirms this which means PT/our tactics worked.....sounds like we controlled the game then.

Wolves 5 shots on target, Gills 4 shots on target. Gills 1 - 0 Wolves.

Stop being a Billy Big Footballs, your a league 1 team now with the premiership just a distant memory.

gumpygit your last line is perfection. Wolves really do think they are BBF, we experienced the attitude at Molineux, like all before them when you step down to league one and come to Priestfield, you will be taught a footballing lesson. The lads last night did us proud and that 92nd minute goal was pure gold, not fake gold like the Wolves colours.

I will confess to only watching on TV, but I thought it was a very professional performance and as much as Wolves had alot of the ball it was in my opinion in the areas that we were happy to allow them the ball. We were very compact at the back Gregory played as well as I ever seen him and I thought Harriman, and Dack when he came on were excpetionally good too. On the day that I had suggested new defenders were required both Barrett and Legge did well and whilst many Wolves fans (yes I have visited their forum too) are bemoaning the lack of movement of their strikers and the poor delivery from wide areas I would like to think some of this was due to lack of space we allowed them (though some of the crosses were awful). So in summary a great start to the new year and if we can maintain that level of performance (and I would suggest all 13 players played their part) then we can definitely stay in this league.

A great team effort against Wolves which delivered a massive 3 points. Again the opposition had more of the play but Gregory stopped most of the play before it got in the box and I think was his best game this season. P Taylor has taken a gamble again playing 3 strikers at the end which luckily came off. The defence was solid and Harriman looks quality especially going forward. Hess and Dack impressed again in midfield. Cody looks fit and sharp now and should end up top scorer.
If we keep this level up, we should easily avoid relegation and should finish mid table.

I wouldn't bother if I was you -I 've had a look. The greater majority of comments revolve around their teams inability to score. Virtually all the comments show that the wolves fans are gutted with the result.

There are a few uncharitable comments towards the Gills - comparing us with a pile of excrement. ( what does that make the team that lost the game ?) at least when we lost at Molinuex we had the good grace to admit our inadequacies and accept the result without taking ANYTHING away from Wolves
There is one poster who actually stated that we had the 3 closest chances in the game - perhaps the fans should reflect on that fact - indicating that their problems, despite all the possession statics, is finding the net ---- despite their massive budget in comparison to the rest of L1.

I am honest enough to say that we rode our luck a little - it was painful to see such (understandable) negative tactics. On any other day, the possession of Wolves would probably have produced a comfortable win - but just for once we got a bit of luck. You can't survive in football by luck alone - so we need to maintain the improvement of late ( and be more progressive whenever possible ).

As for Wolves - they can carry on licking their wounds - put the defeat down to experience, and carry on to probable promotion at the end of the season.

alwaysright...yeah I just had a look at their comments and in good ole GC style...they are what is known as beeling...lol

You are also correct in stating that at least when we came away from Molineux we had the good grace to praise their victory if not much else. It's the same old, same old with ex Prem teams, so far up their own backsides believing they have some god given right. Well reality is we beat them and at a time when it most hurts 92nd minute...and yes i am gloating and very rarely do i gloat at the opposition but you know what when that Cody golden moment went in, I went absolutely mental with delight.

I found some of the comments funny considering we won the game and they didn't. How bad does that make them if we are that bad?

That was such a good win and I still can't get over it. I feel with the correct players brought in then we will stay up.
