I heard about Krul but my understanding was Cabaye was being rested? Was there any comment on what their respective problems are?

 

Pardew would have taken Cabaye off at WBA but all subs had been used, other than that very little info from the club at this time.

Totally agree. Cardiff will be well up for this with Ole now in charge and they will see the FA cup as a real chance to perhaps emulate Swansea's cup achievements last season.

They will go as full strength as possible I reckon and with us fielding a team devoid of playing time this term it'll be a quick exit I'm afraid. Shudder to look at the team suggested by Gordon there!

Just waiting for us to start trotting out the fact our squad is too tired, can't cope with a league and domestic cup campaign. It's true, but it ain't news to the people clutching the purse strings...

I reckon we will get a win tomorrow albeit through extra-time and penalties after a painful, test of your interest, goalless 90 minutes. I don't reckon the soljkjaer effect will have kicked in too much.

 

The guys should be made to sit and watch some DVD's of the Cup victories of the 50's and see how much it means to the fans and the area in general. They play them a lot on the coaches to the away games and I never get tired of watching them.

There will be all kinds of changes I think. Pardew may love the cup but he has openly admitted that the hierarchy are not interested. I'd imagine he is expected to use his squad. He'll have to anyway because we looked gassed in the last two due to mismanagement.

Well we already been to one FA cup final recently but I am not sure when Newcastle last got to the FA cup final. To be honest not many of the Cardiff fans want extra games at this time.

My son was a fanatical Newcastle supporter during those amazing times due to the all out attacking style, I am sorry but the sight of the smallest player on the pitch doing something totally out of character still makes me smile. My son showed me a video clip of it only yesterday...a very difficult decision for the ref as it was hard to tell whether he was going for the ball.

We will be happy if both sides play well no matter what the result.
