Gus must like him. The ****ing idiot. He could've just said what Sunderland paid for him, £12m, and we wouldn't go for it. He's probably not even who Brucey truly wants anyways, that title belongs to Shane Long.
Poyet has just upped the price of every player he wants to sign then, surely any striker he goes for now must be someone he thinks is better and therefore worth £40M+ Duffen's response would have been to pay it though.
Unless he actually wants to leave them anyway what's the point in putting in a low bid that we know they're going to reject? If I were a player and someone put in a low bid it'd just make me think that they didn't value me very highly and make me not want to join them. It's not like we're the club he's dreamed of playing for since he was a kid.
I wouldnt have to have a point in doing it to do it. The Sunderland fan forum seems to think he will be sold for about 7 mill. They also are hearing a rumour that Celtic have put in a bid of 4.8 mill today for him. They seem to think that he will be sold in this window regardless of what their manager is publically saying.
We need strikers who can score goals; I said there should be a senior (a supposedly superior player) signing and him. We need two strikers who can score goals, we haven't got one, never mind two. 12 in 34 in the PL; 14 in 37 in all competitions - really second-rate PL striker figures Try looking at the rest of his stats; do you know anything about him, did you read my posts? Your arguments full of ****. Do you feel daft now? 12 in 34 Time you had a little rest, Brady. The guy has scored goals in all leagues and I trust the management team of Bruce and Agnew to get the best out of him. He the sort of player everyone has been crying out for Fryatt to become. No wonder you like coming on here, the comedy value is excellent?
12 from 36 3 from 12 0 from 12 1 from 16 That's dire for a striker and no comparison to Le Fondre; that argument is dead before it starts.
So you'd waste our time in doing it to have no impact on them as a club for rejecting it, make the player keener to perform for them to show us that he was worth more than we valued him at, and make us look clueless when Sunderland publicised the derisory offer? He may well be sold, but we'd be much better putting in a bid somewhere close to his value that they'll still reject if we wanted to mess with him, at least then he won't feel insulted and go out to shove it up us by helping them stay up at our expense (we aren't safe yet).
So we can't discuss him, Brady? Should you know something about a player before you post, your opinion might be better received. Better than 1 in 3; who have we got doing that? We're up to our armpits with players putting in a good shift, but goals, they've like buses; we wait forever for one and then we get 5 from defence and midfield and one from a loaned out striker - all in one game against a very, very poor team. I am simply offering Le Fondre forward as an option at a sensible price; who have you got?
We're far from safe, which is why we need a striker, not a winger or attacking midfielder (Aluko is already ours)
Mr Fez, I hold my hand up, Le Fondre's stats are good as I've just checked them.. a lot better than Danny Graham's. I was going on personal memory..
so, in le fondre's first season in the top flight, he had a very similar scoring rate as danny grahams first? Then Graham became **** and le fondre is now in the second division? I wasn't really comparing them, i was just saying that 1 season in the prem doesn't make you a world beater and we can't expect him to just turn up and repeat the feat.
Jelle Vossen from Genk would be a good signing, 100 goals in 240 appearances. Seriously, how has nobody snapped him up yet?
Must be his age. The dude can finish but man, some of the defending in the video is seriously ****. I would say he would be woth a closer look.
