Big rumours that Liverpool managing director Ian Ayre is in talks with Javier Mascherano to rejoin the reds 4 years after he walked out.

Tata Martino the Barca boss has given Liverpool permission to contact Masch on the proviso that Barca sign a centre back.

Martino has lost faith in Mascherano as a centre back and has no intention of playing him in his favoured DM role.

Never mind the legitimacy of this rumour the question is would you have him back ?

P.S. the price is allegedly between 15 and 18 million pounds.

I'd have him back but not for that price tbh. 8-10m or on loan til the end of the season with a 15m price agreement.

I'd want to see his commitment as he shat on us before.

  8. I would have him but considering how and why he left, it would be a bit strange.

why he left was "family reasons" how he left was disgusting.

but everyman and his dog know family was maybe 5% the reason he left.

Id take him back like I said above or on a low basic wage with performance incentives.

  10. Exactly. He was a **** in that he refused to play but then, Woy was manager too <laugh>

What I was getting at was the family reasons. If that is why he left then surely he wouldn't want to come back. If he does come back then it suggests that wasn't the reason which makes him look a bigger ****.

Be a bit pragmatic people: Lucas or Mascherano? Exactly. Not for more than £12m though.

Pretty sure wages would be a hurdle too especially given his age.

    Not at that price.

He chose to go for supposed 'family' reasons. For me that's the end of that.

No way too old for that kind of fee and Lucas is at this moment better.
