Yeah, I don't know whether it's worth pressing unless it was incredibly abusive, but it's a fairly safe bet to assume that the team feels that Clattenburg did more than gently express the opinion that Lallana has been changed by appearing in an England shirt.

Au contraire. I've made a most valid point - that Lallana is pissing his pants over nothing cos he's a prima donna, and that his club are siding with him - and made it repeatedly. Unfortunately, certain posters on here are reluctant to accept it, and prefer to take comfort from their assertion that the refereeing authorities are not to be trusted.

No wonder players like Lallana take the piss out of officials; the game as a whole seems to be condoning dissent on an increasing basis every day, as illustrated on here.

His negative rep is off the scale, I don't think it has all come from us, I suspect a serial pest, just Trolling for victims to annoy.

So you think it is valid to come on our site and abuse our best player who you obviously are very jealous of or just ignorant of the facts?

I haven't read all the posts.......I have to say though all this does seem like a storm in a tea cup. Clattenburg seems to have made what I would call a throw away remark.
Lallana though had every right to dispute the decision because he in theory was the only Saints player that should have done as he is skipper. Clattenburg was wrong to make the comment as they are not there to make personal comments to players on the playing field.
If the boot had been on the other foot and Lallana had told him he was not fit to referee top games the referee could have booked lallana an equally throw away remark that could of had consequences for Lallana.
It does strike me as one rule for the referee's but not the same for the players.

Ok lets look at it another way, what if the Prem League decision is to agree with Lallana and Saints? Would you still have the same views?

Time to go to the Liverpool site and tease them about Jolly Rodgers rant against Referees, you will be very popular on there.

After all the ****e on this thread, here ^^^ is a bit of sense!

Premier League players are overpaid prima donnas. Fact.

    Referees are NOW professionals. Fact.

If he thought Adam was being abusive, book him or send him off. A throwaway comment like this is unprofessional and opens yourself up to all this hassle.

It may be tough taking abuse from the overpaid prima donnas, BUT, any person in authority (policeman, teacher, boss, father, mother) SHOULD rise above it. A controversial view I know, but it's not as if Adam did a Di Canio and attacked him?!
