Clattenburg under investigation after Southampton accuse him of abusing Adam Lallana

Who ever it is seems a tad obsesed with us judging by it's post history.

 

Well that is a valid argument, but forgive us if we see the matter from a slightly different and much more biased view. I have made my views clear, I just ask you to consider what I said, and how would you feel if it happened to one of yours, the haircut saga is amusing, but could just as easily been turned against you!

 

You are taking what the ref association as fact? Yet not even heard Lallana's version of events. Are you this quick to judge every one?

I have no view on the subject until I hear both sides. It could be just petty crap or it could be actually something bad was said. To simply judge a player or team on a statement protecting a ref from his own organisation is wrong.

That's brilliant and gets my full support, but it could have gone so wrong, if the red tops had decided to use it against you, there is lots to be despised about the way they corrupt things, just hope you keep squeeky clean, it isn't nice being picked on by someone with an agenda, however valid.

 

The SaintsWeb poster mentioned previously has a pretty much untainted record of knowing what he's talking about...he is known to be a friend of Lallana's, and if he says that Clattenburg uttered more than what was suggested, it's a safe bet that Lallana -- and thus the club -- believe that Clattenburg said more than was suggested. There's always the possibility that something was simply misinterpreted, but that'd be the reason why it is being pursued.

The best way for Lallana to go, is to tear a few teams a good one, let his boots do the talking, that will shut the critics up, and I am sure the rest of the team will close ranks and support him. Football is supposed to be a Team game, there is an element that is not adhering to the concept, for whatever reason.

 

If SKD hadn't played that day, & Adam had had the arm band, I wonder if things might have been different.

 

Don't think Clattenburg necessarily said anything much worse than suggested....he didn't look particularly angry and Adam didn't look outraged. Think it is more a general feeling that we are not getting the rub of the green or respect from Clattenburg. As I said before, we reached our tipping point. Would he have mentioned the England call up with a player from a top side...probably not.

You've made over 11,000 posts and you're carrying on like you've only just discovered the internet, and the fact that people from other clubs might come on here for some banter. Very easily upset. Must be something in the Hampshire water....

 

Thereby hangs are problem, it will need concrete proof and possibly reliable witnesses to come forward to make the case valid, I fear we are pissing against the wind and will only get our own back, in our faces.

 

Yes, I attach a lot of credibility to that. And subtract a little bit from PGMO (not Clattenberg) for their leakiness to the DM. Hopefully the FA can sort it out privately now, without feeling the need to brief any hacks as it goes on.
