I've no issue with several name change threads, as long as they're on different aspects, but dragging it not the MotM thread is pathetic.

Just the other day someone pointed out this was the one thread that didn't descend to a name change rumpus

I ignored the first nonsense, but the second overstepped the mark and deserved a response. If (as others are inferring) pointing out that it was Hull City AFC, who won that game yesterday, is a crime then there are some pretty big hypocrites on here, when I recall some of the exchanges on previous motm threads.

Well it was bound to happen eventually that this thread became a name change one, I just didn't think it would be when we've won 6 0!

Why don't you just post your three players? Is Hull City AFC a name-change or something you don't want associated with a 6-0 win, because it is neither to me? What I do think is bad is a poster using the thread to push the Allam-Is-A-God nonsense down our throats - name-change isn't mentioned. Why are none of you being specific about posters, mine was clearly aimed at Filey who named AA motm, twice, as it was needless and repeated to get a response - it's a forum, he got one, a couple of posters decided to be indignant and then the rest of you are bandwagoning.

Maybe you could look at the OP of this, and virtually every other MOM thread ever made on this board if you want to see my opinion on the top three players from any match from the last season and a half.

I've posted on a number of threads that have already been broken by name change arguments. The ****s are the people who feel the need to grind their axe in posts which are not specifically about the name changes for no reason other than to be twats. Unfortunately, there are a large number of people who cannot ignore the trolls which leads to lengthy conversations which are not related to the thread topic. This annoys me as much as the original transgression.

Thats not bandwagonning. Thats telling you and everyone else to shut the **** up about it in this thread and any others which are not about name changing. Unfortunately, I have now descended to your level.

I will, however, make a better effort to not be drawn into future slanging matches.

just watched the entire 90 mins on tigersplayer as a celebration so..

    1. Huddlestone - it's all been said
    2. Boyd - would have been MOM any other game
    3. Sagbo - the weighted pass for Koren's first goal was exquisite, this fella's got a lot in his locker

Koren (2 goals), Elmo (a goal and threat down the wing), Livermore (engine room) don't get in the top 3 just goes to show what a performance that was..

It was so convincing Bruce took Thud off with 3 minutes to go and gave him a rest!!

You don't seem capable of getting it through your thick head, do you? There was not and has not been any name-change argument. My response was a rebuttal to two posts that named Assem Allam as the man of the match; a ridiculous and inflammatory assertion. The rest is you and your ilk descending to your own levels of stupidity to grow the point by attacking me for rebutting, with just one post, ill-placed and deliberately offensive posts - but you might agree with them, do you? I do find it strangely funny that you, of all posters, feel you have some moral right to tell others what and where to post. You might read back and consider that I did no more, in trying to uphold the principle of motm, than you and the others have done in attacking me for defending what you want held sacred; you really are a ****ing joker.

Arguably the most predictable winner in this thread's history.

And rightly so. Thudd was simply magnificent.

What was the previous score record Tom?

It was actually closer than I thought, Faye got 137 against Middlesbrough at home last season, the game when Bruce said after that he'd have headed the East Stand if it had been thrown at him!
