Just watched the motd from new years day and the arsenal match v cardiff had a lot of empty seats visible in the home areas yet at the end on the screen it gave an attendance figure of 60,000...what gives? I aint wumming...I get that going to football is expensive...I have only afforded 3 matches this season but if arsenal gave out a figure of 60,000 and there are lots of empty seats then it suggests a lot of people have paid for seats and not gone
who the **** buys tickets and can't be arsed to turn up...bloody corporate twats...the worst thing about modern football...dicks who no nothing about football and care even less get tickets before real fans
I am assuming they are season ticket holders, who did not want to go to this game. It was not against the best opposition, the weather was **** and was on new years day.
Flappy Jenkinson BFG Verm/Kos Nacho Arteta/Flamini Wilshere Cazorla Theo Pod Gnabry/Rosicky Subs: Chez/Viviano Verm/Kos Flamini Gnabry/Rosicky Ozil Ryo Zel
there was an awful lot of empty seats though...don't mean to sound snobby but not going cos of the weather and it being cardiff is more than a little plastic...another bad thing with modern football
My seat's empty cause I'm out of the country, did give me gold card to my brother though, but he didn't bother going!
Ozil is fit for the game, he can be seen training with the first team in the new photos published from 2day.
I reckon he'll be a 2nd half sub if we need to push for a win. If we're comfortable then we'll probably see Zel instead.
I think he just wants to rest him, Ozil has been a starter for nearly every game since he's joined us, so Wenger wants to protect him a little now in the middle point of the season. Wenger did mention before the festive period that he would eventually rest Ozil, and then suddenly this strange shoulder injury came up and Ozil has missed 2 games now.
Hi all. Have been offered a spare for your game tomorrow. First time in the home ends at The Emirates. Any pub recommendations around Finsbury Park for a bite to eat and maybe an illegal feed for a 3pm game?
I actually think the fact it's at the Emirates is better for Spurs. Going for a 2-2 draw and Arsenal to win the replay at WHL.
Go to the Twelve Pins, though that's usually packed. Failing that you could always go to that pub outside Euston but they'll charge rich folk prices.
The Wig and Gown in Holloway Rd is OK, they usually get a game from somewhere but you'll need to show a season ticket to get in (or know the doorman). The Highbury Barn is probably the best of the traditional pubs but you won't get a game in there. There'll be a heavy police presence and the late kick off will have them on red alert - I'm going with a Spud friend, we're drinking locally and heading straight to the ground. Worth considering getting to the ground early as Jeff Stelling will be on....
They do good food in The Tollington on Hornsey Road You'll more than likely have to show your ticket to the doormen
I agree. Sherwood has learned what not to do, which is be nervy. The fans and the players want us to have a go, and that's what we're doing. It should be fun. ...Meaning, of course, it will probably be a dull 0-0 draw.
