Fair enough. How do you know, as a matter of interest?

But how do these actions make him attention seeking?

Seems the official response to the complaint is effectively "shut the **** up and stop whinging". <laugh>

    I've definitely never shagged him.

I know him from CI, though I'm surprised he's still posting, as quite some time ago he came to an untimely end and was buried under Queens car park...

I'm only basing that on a thread I read that mentioned something they've read on Twitter, and then I paraphrased that...so yep, nailed on press statement. FACT. <ok><laugh>

    I didn't realise you weren't a fan Maccs.

Personally I think Dowd is the worst/best for this.

I think the referee should sometimes be the centre of attention (when decisions need to be made) but in games where they don't then they need to make sure they're unnoticed and allow the game to flow.

Dowd is the best at rectifying ill tempered players but is **** at staying out of the spotlight.

I think Webb is our best ref, followed by Dean.

If what is being reported is accurate, and that is what Clattenburg said, then FA should fine #saintsfc for the appeal. Frivolous in extreme.

Absolute joke from Southampton and lallana. If this is how they want to play it, refs should be aloud to put out statements of all the abuse they get during games. I can't stand players abusing refs, little respect goes a long way with officials at times.

One aspect where I prefer rugby to football. Hardly any official abuse in the sport and any abuse is punished there and then. Should be stamping down on this or we'll be running out of refs willing to officiate! Respect to clattenburg for telling the nob what he thinks without calling him out as the precious mong he clearly is.

Now that Clattenburg has been cleared I'll accept that I was wrong. This time.

But at least I admit to being wrong eh, Polly? I bet you wouldn't.

It's a moot point Macca, as it's not an experience I'm particularly familiar with :D

I tried to check the Twitter thing but couldn't find where it showed what Clattenburg was supposed to have said. What was it?

Apparently something to do with him being an England player.
