i didnt fall for the wum, for a change lol Mourinho may have a point, dont think he does personally, but it is more based on the success that utd and Liverpool have had over the years with the odd Everton,Arsenal (2 on sky panel) Spurs etc thrown in, as they have had success in the game and generally know what they are talking about as far as big games is concerned, some of the pundits its a joke, but at least the Liverpool ones generally have had success in the game and know what big games means. its funny that tobes is dissing Thomo sort of for his bias, but the other 3 on the pannel they all look to him as he has won the European cup and managed, none of them have or not to a prem level anyway. be interesting to see in say 5 yrs time if he would be saying the same when obviously Chelsea will have more pundits on tv due to their success, i doubt it, so don't really see the point he is making personally.
Collymore is a grade A tool but I do like listening to his Saturday radio show. As you say, the passion and enthusiasm he shows is great, shame he doesn't encourage others though, he prefers to talk over them or cut them off, especially if he doesn't agree.
Whole point of pundits today, especially the radio twats like Cundy is to provoke exactly the response he got, multi media outrage so he's clearly doing his job properly (nothing to do with actual football) he's probably laughing that he used the same type his shows rely on simply by calling them names. No different than most of the "sports writers" for the rags. Their original job of describing the match is obsolete as we've all went to or watched the match ourselves on some form of media. Have to justify their jobs so now are the sporting equivalent of the gossip page. Attract the loons.
But he said all Liverpool fans were bitter and twisted and that's not true. I may be bitter but im not all Liverpool fans, it would be like me saying that all Chelsea fans are anti Irish racist pigs but that would not be true either, only some of them are.
Agree with that Tobes, and that is why I've always enjoyed peter Reid on the few occasions he's commented on Everton. And Joe Royle. Agree about Hansen and Lawrenson (knob) too. Hope Hansen keeps his column in the Telegraph though, as it is well written, by himself (not ****ing ghosted by a journo, unlike some) and I defy fans from other clubs to have read it over the years and say he's biased towards Liverpool, If anything, he worshipped at the feet of Chelsea teams under Mourinho during his first spell at Chelsea. all that said, what is Cundy's point? is he actually saying the Eto'o challenge WASN'T a pen? He expects to be taken seriously as a pundit, and he says that WASN'T a pen? Mourinho? He said the last gasp pen against WBA was a pen, despite the FA apologising for it. Does Cundy think that one was a pen too? And Drogs, though you maintain he was a Spud, Hoddle immediately said it was a nailed-on pen too. If you can disassociate yourselves from Hoddle, then we can surely give the finger to Lawrenson and Collymore.
The way to test out if we really are the most bitter and twisted fans is for Mr Cundy [whoever he is] to tweet something contentious about another club and see the response from their fans. Liverpool fans take this stuff on the chin, it's getting boring and predictable. Alan Davies a while ago springs to mind as well. Twitter wants shutting down imo. And Chelsea fans calling other fans bitter and spiteful after the way they carried on when Rafa was appointed is irony in the extreme.
