@SkySportsPeteO: Wigan are lining up a loan swoop for Leicester City's Jeffrey Schlupp. #LCFC #WAFC

I would be willing to do a short term loan but nothing more

I wouldn't mind if he went tbh, hes not really made an impression on the team this year as a striker and even fell below Waghorn in the pecking order before New Year.

Pearson has been critical of Schlupp recently saying he could and should be doing more.

IMO he will be a very good prem left back but league 1 striker at best

I do like Jeff but he'll never make a prem left back. He's not good defensively, his positioning can be very poor and he's not a good crosser of the ball. He's only really got pace going for him at left back.

    This.

I think he'll become a Championship all rounder. Someone who can do a good enough job for a side LB, LW and ST.

I think he'll play best as a winger. Seems no one can work out what his best role is. Quality finish against Millwall though and he did alright for us as a striker towards the latter end of last season. Wouldn't him play him there in a 4-4-2 though.
