Now Nick Thompson has gone, we have no MD to handle transfer activity and I hope that AA isn't handling dealings himself. Is there anyone else at the club likely to be involved?
do we know who dealt with the outbound Cairney deal? Do we think we got a good price? I would imagine demanding as much as you can for a player from a club that is desperate to get them might be easier then try to haggle/pull a price down on a club, especially clubs that may not be too desperate to sell to potential rivals. Shane Long deal did not go brilliant as an example.
Burnsy said the other day on Twitter that he believes negotiations are being done by 'Pete Chapman and Ehab Allam'.
City's honorary president - it seems he was the man who picked Steve Bruce out to be our new manager in the summer of 2012, and was the man who approached Brucie for us. Looks like he is also the MD of SLS who sponsored the back of our shorts a few seasons back.
I met Peter Chapman in Portugal last year he told me about he was negotiating for a French striker who was obviously Sagbo. He is not a novice and I am sure will get the job done. However, he also said when questioned that the Hull Tigers thing was a "storm in a teacup" make of that what you will.
There were rumours and stories before the official news story. No need for the sarcasm. For example http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/218998-Hull-City-Tigers-softly-softly
£600k + add ons for TC!! He's doing alright so far....I thought we'd get half that! Wonder how much they're touting Hobbs around for? £1m?
Still, if the rumoured loan fee beig rumoured in the summer was correct, we'd get £1m for him really, which isn't half bad given his increased wage this season. I still think he's worth more and could have been an asset here.
