I'd rather the club concentrated on getting promotion, the stadium, new players & anything else rather than trying to please an ever diminishing number of moaning supporters.
Its done now, lets move on and spend time money & effort on something important......like....getting promoted <ok>

We hardly manage to win the important games in a lower division, never manage to fill LR nor do we seem to care about tradition but yet some people dream about playing a big role in the PL in a supersized stadium - wishful thinking. Let´s talk about basics first rather than spendig thoughts on things that may never happen too soon. It is all about roots and not so much about losing again against ManU or likewise.

Exactly, so lets establish our selves as a decent footbal club.
changing the badge AGAIN wont do that. Winning matches with decent players will.
going back to the old badge will do absolutely zero for the players, staff or club except delude us that were are as good as we previously thought we were?

I am not suggesting changing back to the old badge but I believe we will have to discuss the clubs future which naturally includes some consistency concerning things like the crest, the stadium, the location etc. Please let me know why anyone would want to support their local club if they had none of those relations at least for me that is vital and the reason why I keep going for more than 30 years now.

With you 100% on that SB. That was a proper badge with genuine meaning and heritage. And while we're at it I say let's bring back the apostrophe in the club name, which was also in use in '67.

Mate, thats fair enough to a point, but considering the amount of times our club has moved over the years, the location and locality are not really that relevant. Ive only ever been to LR so to me thats our home, but im all for the new stadium.
Our previous badge has always been my favourite and i didnt like the new one, but it has grown on me and its progress. the old badge now (as much as i love it) looks outdated.
We have more pressing issues than the badge (in my mind anyway) & whilst its good to discuss it, I've never been on to dwell on the past for too long. that doesnt make me right and you wrong, just us diffrent<ok>
my personal opinion is we need to move on, progress & try to forget the terrid past 17 years we've had. id happily forget them if they werent so etched in my mind.
Personally just through reading here, other boards and skimming over twitter, to me this just smells like a PR excercise from TF in case we dont suceed.
I'd like to know how much money this whole excercise is going to cost and would like someone to justify changing our badge rather than investing the cash into a youth player, set up...or even new striker?!

I honestly don't understand all this "there's more important things to do" line of reasoning. Of course there are more important things to do, nobody is suggesting that there isn't, but it's possible to do more than one thing at a time isn't it?
It's possible to build a new training ground AND a new stadium. It's possible to have a new kit manufacturer AND redesign the club badge. In fact I would suggest that it makes sense to do all of these things in tandem, which is exactly what the owners are trying to do here.
Fair enough if you genuinely love the current badge and are against the whole principal of changing it. But to reject the idea just because it's not the club's main priority doesn't make sense to me.
IMHO I think that it's great that this is being looked into and that we all have a chance to have an input. <ok>

I don't like a shield shaped badge..... Say that when your pissed!
The letters QPR intertwined looks good.
Perhaps we should change the mascot, Sparky is too much of a reference to Hughes?

So would you like to hazard a guess at how much this excercise willl cost us then. Parents replacing kids and our tops, consultants, designers, mock up and someone colating the designs and comparing them
ALSO...WHO makes the final decision? We cant all be happy and we are going o end up with just as many p-'d off posters at the new badge.

Also, If i dont like it can we change it next year then. Its a minefield and i'd hazard a guess that the total gross cost ould get us 2 or 3 decent younger players for the future.
Would you prefer a new badge to better players?
Each to their own but we have enough problems to address at the moment. The fact Harry aint gonna be around for long, promotion, out of date contracts, the stadium, season ticket prices, the training ground, increasing crowd suport.......oh and did i mention a little thing called promotion that all of this depends on...?
We've proved we cant do 2 things at once....we're just adding to the workload.
Its a PR excercise that will make some feel special when we dont buy the 3-4 players we need and dont get automatic promotion. We can say, "well maybe we didnt go up, but our owner asked us whatbadge we want on our NPC league shirts....

Absolutly comical if it wasnt so cynical..

We cant even win 3-4 games on the trot, let alone design a new stadium & badge.....and the rest i cant be bothered to type

If you guys think having a nice shiny new badge ( that loads will dislike) is important, then fair enough thats your opinion and entitlement
personally i prefer a respected team that played decent football in a nice stadium...badge or no badge.

Each to our own i suppose guys. We all have diffrent priorities in life and footballl. Ours just aint the same.

I for one will not be involved in designing a new picture (badge) to go on our kit. And if you are deluded enough to think your ideas will be accepted if they are anything outside the template that is already in place then good luck to you.
Makes no diffrence to me what so ever..I'll alway be Rangers!

Just wish our owner would stop f-ing around with crap like this and get the 2-3 decent player we need.

For me its: get of twitter, sort the team, get promoted, sort the youth academy then give us a new badge..in that order.

PS...and if it all goes tits up and god forbid we get relegated, Harry leaves or we fall foul of the FFP rules and drop

    THEN

It'lL all be ok because we have a nice shiny new badge.....!! REALLY?...come on guys..wake up..please?

Actually I do not understand why you get excited about the badge thing, it belongs to "us" and is as much important as many other things you and I have mentioned. There is no real sequence of priorities to me they are more or less of same importance. Having supported the R´s for almost the whole of my life I do not care if the do get up to the PL right now or if we will have to wait another decade. I must admit that I prefer the QPR of old to the current one but that of course is just me and only my personal feelings about it.

Well the first part of that post is simply not true as you would not have continued this discussion if you didnt care.

Like i said earlier, we all have diffrent priorities and thats everyones entitlement. i have no issues with your and think you are a great credit to our club for your continued support.
personally i've been QPR since i was 7 ..so 40 years now,. My expectations and desires are diffrent to yours and neither of us are right or wrong.
For my part, i dont think a new badge will add anything positive to our club right now, but more so make us an even easier target for P-takers and derogatory remarks on boarda and in the press.
I'd like us to go about our bussiness in a respectfull covert and disciplined way and reap the rewards of hard work...rather than sticking our heads above the parapit and saying "look at our new badge, looka t our new ground"etc..
TF makes us a target by his twitter and money.
We are at best a mid table prem team. lets try and become a decent club by doin it the right way. Spendind a million quid on another badge change just sets us up i think.
As a club we suffer from serious delusions of grandeur. We'renever gonna win anything of any major significance, but I'd ove our cloub to be a respected club, rather than a live PRF feed to the media.
I gaurantee you...if & when this badge thing comes around..Its going to become a major embarrasment. We are going to get stick from others for this because we dont have a leader (owner) who can lead. He's shown he's soft on so many occaisions that he really needs to show some backbone.
i'd hate to work for a boss like this who tries to please all the people all the time...IT WILL END IN TEARS!
