Some people wouldn't know a good striker if they came round and hit them on the face. I think that's what a few on the gasroom need anyway

I would be happy with Easter coming back. I'm not sire mccraken would improve the team to be honest. He would be back up to Johnson and winfield and I don't think he would be happy with that.

It will be a tough season next year and we obviously have very little to spend. In my view GW is strengthening a settled squad as best he can. Team spirit will be vital to stay up and if the new players know some of their new team-mates all the better.
As far as I see the Gasroom default is negative. During the PT season it was consistently 'He will never get us up'. Once up, before a ball was kicked it was 'He will never keep us up' and the players due to be booed for the season ahead were identified quite early on. McCracken got too much stick when he was actually playing for us to want to come back and I reckon Rendell will continue to improve, Strevens started to come good and now we have Grant to contribute. I'm feeling quite optimistic that we will make a fist of it and survive...anything other than that will be a bonus!

 

I agree with some of the points on here about some people being too negative. However, everyone is entitled to an opinion and it doesn't necessarily have to agree with Gary Waddock. Whilst I think we have a better squad in terms of depth I do not really believe the new signings have enhanced our starting eleven a great deal and I think it would be quite naive to believe last year's starting line up is good enough to keep us in league one.

However I will not slag these players off and will support them when they pull on a Wycombe shirt and give them a chance to perform for us but I am currently sceptical as to whether or not their additions will be enough for us to be in league one.

 

According to the bookmakers (at 11/4) there are 5 teams at shorter odds for relegation (although the odds are fairly close), with Stevenage, Walsall and Yeovil seemingly the ones they think will get relegated. I don't know on what they base their odds or how accurate they were last year, but they seem to have more confidence in us than in some teams.

 

we have a good spirit within the camp and that goes a long way,no superstars just honest pros,i will take that anyday above the so called bigger players like dubes.we showed last season that when the going gets tough we can hack it .
