Lenny - I realised years ago that he did not like the English when he tried to reverse out of "football shirt gate" and has been trying to get all his tennis cronies in the media i.e. the BBC to back him up...well bollox mate, if you have the balls to make the comments, have the balls to stand by them. Whinging jock...a plague on his house.

You have a sportsman who wins and you do not like him. Andy Murray and Nigel Mansell odd.

Ak, I like what Mansell did on the track, but since his retirement he has made himself very unpopular in Jersey by completely ignoring refusal of planning permission when putting a fence round (planning permission was granted, but when he delayed building it by a few months, planning asked for some more information but he had it built before providing it and the fence is black and 8' or 2m 43 high) his house and widening the private road leading to it so it encroached onto public land. I believe from a friend who lives on the Isle of Man he ignored a request from their planning department but I can't find a report of it. In fact, he still lives here as I saw him when eating out with my Mum when she came to visit me last month. I'd much rather Jenson Button came to his senses and moved from Guernsey to Jersey and Mansell moved the other way to annoy the donkeys!

Early afternoon all...a bright sunny one here. Lunch in the garden shortly and perhaps pulling up a few weeds which have appeared while we were away. Nothing too strenuous though.
