To be honest Pennant lost the ball twice if I remember and seemed to get wound up, might be something in that. IF what you say is correct he's a cnut and I don't want him near our first team again. PROBLEM is he's a headstrong fella and I guess he won't change that. Master Yoda What's your opinion of our chance's of signing Assaidi long term? Let's be honest we're not in Liverpool's class player for player. And at least he's getting games. Plus he's the only one of our lads who can hit a ball hard/shoot and keep it down. Apart from Adam. Good luck apart from when we play you guys.
Don't think Rodgers fancies him - seemed like a rabbit in the headlights when he played for us. But he seems to be discovering his end product with Stoke - in the Dutch league he was scoring from outside the box etc well... Think with the options we'll have next season in the forward positions - Sterling, Sturridge, Coutinho, probably Salah, Suso, Alberto then youngsters... would say any decent bid of £5m would see him gone. Unless he really keeps getting better. EDIT: Our choice may well be between him and Borini... can't see us keeping both in the squad.
He's a confidence player I think. He was quiet at the start of the season, every time he got into a crossing position he'd try and turn onto his right foot and would get blocked. More recently he's having the confidence to use his left foot and cut inside and run at people and is doing better as a result. He was the same for us in the Europa, he had a lot of confidence until he went up against a few pacey wing backs who could keep up with him, then he ran out of ideas. Agree with Yoda, BR doesn't fancy him, apparently he has only sent him a couple of texts since he's been on loan, not spoke to him for months. He's surplus to requirements at An field, the lad needs to make his mind up.
As a Liverpool supporter, I have to agree with my fellow reds apropos Assaidi. BR doesn't like him or, at least, thinks he needs to be much more consistent before he risks including him in the side. He's definitely looked good for your team, and is now showing glimpses of the talent he showed in the dutch league. I still think you have a good chance to sign him full time, and I hope he develops into a cracking player for you if he does indeed swap squads. As I have a soft spot for Potters (Dennis, Brian and Harry being my personal favourites!) good luck for the weekend game ... but, obviously, not that much luck!
