Better than a poke in the eye? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/25577217 Interview with him on recent Reading match report: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/25512772 * Any chance a mod could edit this to make votes viewable? Cheers!
He's Reading's top goalscorer with 7, which blows our second highest goalscorer out of the water (3). That's with limited appearance time. I'd be interested to know why the person who voted no did so?
Incidentally, Billy Sharp tweeted this yesterday: "billy sharp ‏@billysharp10 16h Thanks to everybody at reading football club, fans, staff and especially players great set of lads.⚽ " Could be off? Reading are in a dodgy situation at the moment, with upheaval in club ownership. It's believed that Zingarevic is short on cash. If at any point Pogrebnyak were to become available too... I'd absolutely recommend we go for him on a short term contract.
Sharp was on loan from Southampton - so I can only presume his loan was just a short one so is now up.
If anyone votes anything other than Yes then they're a complete fool. This lad scored 12 in the PL last season and has 7 in 8 starts in this one. I'd love him to come to Leicester, i've been saying this since he was banging them in for Rotherham.
I'd forgotten about wages, you're right he's their highest paid on 60k. Shame, he's been their star performer this year (including Vs us), even without the goals. His hold up play is premier league Quality, and would take massive pressure off Charlie's shoulders.
Here's a (very bitter) thread on a Reading forum about "Le Fondre's 'come and get me' plea": http://hobnob.royals.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=121656 A few interesting comparisons with Sharp in there too. In general I agree AKCJ, but some of the guys in the above do have a point- he wasn't started under McDermott, and he isn't under Adkins. There must be some deficiency there? I think he fades during games a lot, and might have stamina issues.
No from me. Reason being he's proved himself on several occasions this season to be in the same mold as Ashley Young, and I would struggle to cheer when he threw himself to the ground under no challenge whatsoever to buy a penalty when wearing proper hoops. I'd far rather get a good striker who wasn't also a diving cheat - they are out there.
The best option I've seen suggested so far. So a yes from me too. Prefer it to happen quickly though and not last minute.
Hes also known as a super sub, great if we are starting austin up front on his own. He seems to always score in the 20 mins he plays when he comes on.
