I dare say that this one will be 'acceptable' though - what with the owner being a squeaky clean politician....

    Bolton suffered a 50 million loss n a YEAR!

Wow - and they aren't exactly in a position where they are likely to get some of that back by being promoted.

Rely on being funded by a billionaire fan.

With reduced turn-over and gates could they be the next club in trouble?

Moyes is getting annoying now! The saying isnt 'when the going gets tough, blame the ref'!! I think Webb made the right call. He clearly made allowances for the conditions and obviously saw that there was the bare minimum contact with the leg that Young left there to be hit! If he wanted to avoid contact he could have, but it was more beneficial to allow the contact.

I also wonder if Ashley's new found diving reputation did not help?

Irritatingly, I do have a smidgeon of sympathy for Moyes - even allowing for the conditions, the goalie's leg was very high and arguably needlessly so when he slid out. But I agree with other posters that Ashley's reputation does not help referees' decisions in these borderline cases. If you live by the sword - you sometimes die by it......

Or, in Ashley's case, frequently fall on it...

Moyes will no doubt now find himself in line for a hefty fine for speaking out. The FA must surely view such incidents as a licence to print money - meaning they will never do anything to improve the dismal refereeing we are continually seeing.

I have no doubt that is the case - same with Saurez.

Mind you BB is right - a lot of games are being decided by officials.

Having said that Kevin Nolan and the Newcastle guy can have no complaints about their red cards - in all fairness neither Pardew or Allardyce backed them either.

It was also refreshing to hear the "Special One" back the referee over Oscar's booking! <ok>

Very true - mind you Chelsea did win 3-0 in the end.

He wasn't so keen to talk about a dive when they played West Brom and earned a contentious penalty in the final minute to draw..

Charlton have been taken over by the owner of Standard Liege who also runs 3 clubs so will they have a deal like ours?

Given that within about 20mins of the take over being announced, they have taken a Standard Liege player on loan, I would say so.

I wonder if the Daily Heil mouthpiece will have something to say about Charlton?

Four actually, with Charlton making it five. Which begs the question - will Charlton be the new Watford and represent everything that is wrong with football?
