I remember Nasri got one, and Fabregas against Villa....

It's not something we've been good at for a long time

Anyone noticed Walcott going for headers now? Remember him winning a header from a Shezny goal kick against the Cardiff player in the first half.

Cazorla used to bang them in when he was playing in Spain, but comes here, and let's the likes of Sagna take a free-kick of him. <doh>

Walcott has scored a free-kick either earlier this season or the back end of last season, it went straight through and in, ooking like it was meant to be a cross :p

Henry was the last player we had that was a genuine threat from free kicks

Did TV ever actually score a free kick? I remember Toure scored one.

I disagree - last year we were too aggressive from the off and we would often give up goals on the counter. We are now playing our home games the way we play away games and we are doing much better.

    Clean sheets win games.

Our players could learn something from city today, all 3 of their goals were lucky hits, just shows what happens when you actually shoot, especially in conditions like today

We didn't concede any goal today without that combination, against Everton we conceded a goal when we decided to play Arteta-Flamini 2gther after we went in the lead. We look very flat with those 2 in midfield, our play today majorly improved AFTER the pairing of Flamini-Arteta was ended and Flamini taken off. :).

Most of our clean sheets this season has been without the combo of Arteta-Flamini, we've been doing defensively fine without the need of playing them 2 together.

You know you are so all over the place with your analysis. The only thing I get out of it is that even if we win, you think you are smarter than everyone else.

I just don't understand how you come up with you hate list of "Things Arsenal87 doesn't like", but keep it up, because every time you pick at something, it seems to work for us.

I concur. I thought Arteta / Flamini would be a very strong defensive combination, but that isn't required at home against a bottom side. The issue here was that with Ozil, Oxo, Giroud out it was almost the only option, especially with Rosicky out too. Wenger doesn't seem to like playing Rosicky in too many games - at his age he's sometimes better coming off the bench & giving all his energy over 20mins.

The other option would have been to start Bendy with Pod on the left, but that left no striker on the bench fresh to come on if required.

I personally think away games against the top half should be Flam / Arteta, everything else should be one or the other depending on whether they are a passing side (Arteta) or a more direct side (Flam).

Ok, according to Toledo it's according to me only that the Arteta-Flamini partnership isn't working, so anyone else out there concur with me, that the Arteta-Flamini partnership isn't working?

Actually I'm not, you simply can't handle the facts. According to you, we're more defensively sound with that partnership, the facts say OTHERWISE, against Everton it was when we introduced Arteta, that we then conceded the goal. Against Napoli, AGAIN, we sank in 2 goals and were lucky to have not lost by 3 and getting knocked out of Europe. So your theory that this partnership has made us more stable is not supported by the facts, we have had more games without the partnership of Arteta-Flamini both home AND away, and our defensive record has still been strong.

So as usual, you're just full of bullshit, and the facts even show your full of bullshit, so you come up and say my analysis is all over the place, lol. But what can we expect, you're Toledo, bullshit is the norm with you.
