O/T Boxing Day Swim

    First of all, many thanks to your mods for allowing me to post this thread.


    Can I take a few moments of your time please?

    On Boxing day this year, I will be taking part in a sponsored swim in the sea at Cromer.
    All money raised will go to the Norfolk and Norwich Scope Association.

    If anybody would be willing to sponsor me, please could you pm me, and I will let you have details of where to send the money.
    Obviously all pms will be treated as confidential

    Photos of me doing the deed will be posted shortly after the event

    Recently a whale was washed ashore at Cromer. On Boxing day, there could well be another one.

    I swam in the river Tay after coming out of a nightclub one cold December. Don't do it. Ye turn blue. And if that's not bad enough for a Celtic fan ye almost nearly die too. :grin:

    When I was in the forces in the 80s we went to Benbecula in January. We thought it would be good to get a photo of us in the sea.
    After that, Cromer will be a breeze <laugh>

    We did very well. The first time wasn't too bad, but when we went back in for the second it was bloody freezing.
    I did consider changing my name to Frankenstein, as at one point, it felt like my nuts had gone up to my neck <yikes>

    There are photos on the Norwich, Newcastle and Posh boards, or I could post them on here, if you don't mind the board getting cluttered up.
    Some of you may be scarred for life!!

    At the last count, just over £2,500 had been raised, and that was without the cheques that people had posted in <ok>
