will anybody worth buying want to come to safc! i'd be suprised if we got anybody who would give us hope!
****ing pissed off. Don't know what was worse, the conditions or the officiating. Stone wall penalty disallowed I'm guessing because Ki stayed on his feet but there was no advantage to be played. A perfectly good goal disallowed. Borini was dead on line. Ki gets booked because his lip assaulted Agbonlahor's elbow. The referee had lost control completely and missed everything. My other gripe was Catts. That ****er was on the piss last night. Nothing will persuade me otherwise, played enough Sunday league to tell. He looked ****ed 10 minutes in, was a yard off the pace and on another planet.
You're right. Going into the Christmas games I think everybody would have settled for 4 points. Of course, once we'd won at Everton the bar was raised. The fact remains, if we can't score goals at home we're gone.
Oh and Bardsley is completely out of his depth playing this philosophy. Hasn't got the brain. ****ing ****e.
If you look from West Ham onwards (when we'd finished playing all the big teams at home) We've taken WHU A - 1 Norwich H - 1 Everton A - 3 Cardiff A - 1 Villa H - 0 6 points from a total of 15 is seriously underwhelming I'd have wanted at least 10. We can't keep kidding ourselves, our results, Everton aside, have been poor
Wouldn't say that, other teams lost today and their supporters will all be saying the same thing ....... West Ham lost and will be without Nolan for 3 important games. There's a long way to go.
I think I agree with this. Its a shame as he had been winning me over. I think it Bridcutt comes in and plays well it could be the end of Catts. My gripe is how poor our final ball is, our strikers don't stand a chance with the poor service we are giving them.
We're the bottom team mate, it's going to be a long grind until the end .......... we're 4 points off safety with new players coming in. Wes Brown is back at the weekend and O'Shea should be fit. It's not like we're 8 adrift with a few games to go.
Yeah, it's just very hard to stay positive right now. My main worry is we don't create enough chances, and the ones we do create we miss. We Fletcher should have put us ahead in the opening stages then it would have been a different game. Villa would have had to look for the win instead of sitting back leaving us a situation when we don't look like scoring at all. It's going to be very very tough from here, the fact we haven't beaten a side in the below Newcastle (8th) is the most concerning thing, because how else will we get out of trouble if we can't beat the teams around us?
We need to accept that it'll be tough all the way 'til the end of the season ........ it'll be a desperate crawl up the league with many setbacks. There won't be a 'miracle cure' just a gradual improvement in the condition of the patient
I keep saying that there will be loads of setbacks before the end of the season. We'll escape 'one hard earned point after another' and not by a miraculous run of glorious victories. We're 4 points off safety, some **** teams above us and a window where only Sunderland have so far showed any ambition.
People keep saying that as if they've learned it off Sky ........ you could say that all the teams we've beaten were higher in the table. But that wouldn't sound so ****ing gloomy would it?
The games against the teams around us and struggling, like ourselves, are the games that will decide our fate.
Couln't keep tabs with game but checked the beeb @ 1/2 time and we had 74% of possession. Stats also showed something like 2 shots on target which suggests poor delivery so do we go for 2 playmakers this month? Can't rely on motd bias to see how we played. How did we knock 5 goals past Chelsea and fail to score today. Was at the Chelsea game and came away very positive despite losing but we don't half blow hot & cold
And we still have 7 of the bottom teams to play at home ....... give up if you like, I won't. Palace, who everyone said were on great form, couldn't beat 10 man Norwich at home. West Ham lost against Fulham and also one of their most important players for the next 3 games. That's what a relegation battle is like mate, ****ing hard and dirty and lasts a long time.
