Polly you didn't park the bus you just chose to use it a bulldozer! I haven't seen so many deliberate attempts to kick our players off the pitch for a long time. If you want to play like that then I hope that you return to the Championship very quickly.

We didn't have "a bit too much class" we were the only side on the pitch who had any class!

I missed the game but I heard Suarez was targeted and hardly any of the Hull players got booked. Then Suarez made one foul and he got booked??

    Solid win overall.
Henderson, for me, was our best player yet again. Some sublime passes, worked hard as always, kept possession well and pressed constantly.
Cissokho built on the Arsenal and City games and looked 'good'. Seems to be finding his legs a little bit now.
Johnson dire yet again (carrying an injury? My arse. He picked that up only today). Surely it's time to give Kelly another run out?

Thought we struggled when Gerrard came on. Obviously he's off the pace, but we just didn't keep possession well and I thought Hull had their best moments of the game when Stevie was in the middle of the pitch. Holes magically appeared...

Anyway, glad we got the three points. We needed to get straight back into winning ways after two disappointing away games, so a comfortable 2-0 is great.

Think he got booked because he had the temerity to tell the ref what Hull were doing to him. So when he got involved in a nothing foul, the ref couldn't wait to book him.

Jimmy, Suarez didn't even commit a foul for his yellow card! The Ref was either incompetent or totally biased.

Seriously though it was begining to seem like Hull as a club were becoming in danger of being penalised by the FA for not controlling their players!

Fell asleep during the match because I am so unbelievably hungover and sleep deprived it's untrue.

Caught the last 5 minutes though and we looked comfortable.

Not at our best but 3 points and a clean sheet!

Coutinho has to improve that end product though, so many chances to score, needs to add that to his game not just for us but for his Brazil future too.

Good result and helps the hangover quite a bit!!

That is one of the worse (or better depending upon your stance) anti-Gerrard analysis there's been on this board.

Haven't read back so I expect it's all been said.

I felt sorry for Aspas, he can't do a thing right atm.

Hull kicked lumps out of Suarez the whole of the first half and all he got for it was a yellow card for gobbing off at the ref.
Regardless of his rep or what people think of him he has as much right to protection from the officials as anyone else. No wonder he was frustrated.
I've been thoroughly pissed off with the performances of the officials at our last three games.
Looking forward to Huth coming back next week and walking all over him and getting a medal.

And you're entitled to think otherwise, but that's my view.

Not sure when Gerrard came on but I suspect it was late and we were looking to close out the game so I can understand that we lost our fluidity and intent somewhat. <ok>

Jeez. He was genuinely fouled about 2 or 3 times, none of which would've received a second glance from a referee 15 years ago.

    You're welcome to it.

I never said that you couldn't/shouldn't make it but glad to see you recognise my right to comment upon it <ok>

The ref, Craig Pawson a Yorkshireman (no bias there then) has only ever refereed 5 premiership matches. He's done 48 Championship, 50 League One and 43 League Two. Boy, did it show today.

Poly, Fat 'Eads lad nearly broke one of his ribs kicking him fro behind! Don't know what type of football you were watching 15 years ago but it would have been a red card even then!!!

I just don't see the value of your comment. At least explain why you think it's wrong or it's no better a comment than a WUM.

Anyone can say, "Oh, well that's a stupid thing to say". It's not even a discussion point, it's a baseless, unfounded comment. Say why you think it's incorrect or **** and, you know what, maybe I'll change my mind or we could have a discussion about it.

    Oh, that's ok then.
How many does it take to put him out of a game?
I'm not talking about mistimed tackles, I'm talking about deliberate attempts to hurt, or at least intimidate him, knowing that his reputation will deny him the protection he should be getting.
