What do you think about the type of people who post on this general chat board?

 

I made a (to be honest pretty famous) thread called 'Posters of the North, unite!' where I discussed my feelings about the people that reside on General Chat.

 

and what did it say in it? I have an opinion on them but dont want to say it cause it would offend them all.

 

That the North is great and that it will rise again.

 

Hmmm, I think people from London are really annoying and snobby but Id rather live in the South than the North generally because its far nicer. The midlands (east and West) is easily the worst/most boring place in Britain though

Why is the South nicer? The North of England is a beautiful place.

 

I just like the weather more in the South and its less dreary and better quality of life and nicer for going to the beach and stuff.

I know you'll sneer but Norfolk really is the nicest place in England and nowhere more pleasant to live than Norwich for a good city and nice country with good weather compared to other England places.

 

That's ****ing slander. I hope Whitley Bay and Filey didn't hear you saying that.

Rather live a short trek away from the countryside of the Yorkshire Dales, one of the most beautiful places in the known universe, than the boring Fens around Norwich. Lots of stuff going on round Leeds/Bradford as well, I doubt your city is half as vibrant; to be honest I get the impression that it's full of old people who think that by neatly pruning their moustaches in a morning they're expressing their wild side.

 

Well I accept your opinion. Think its wrong but thats why you live there and I live here. Leeds is a good city but I find places like Cornwall and Devon nicer to holiday in than the North and Norfolk better to live in.

I cant accept anyone defending the East Midlands though - that really is a turgid area.

 

Then again, I'm sure Kenya's a lovely place to go on holiday, but it's not a place I'd want to live. And yes the Midlands is a wasteland for the most part. A place invented for Northerners and Southerners to settle their differences, to adapt the words of the revered Northerner Jeremy Clarkson slightly.

 

I do like the Peak District - great place.


Try out the Norfolk Broads - amazing place on a sunny day and North Norfolk has some beautiful places (great towns and stunning coastline like Blakeney and stunning beaches like Holkham). They are far better than the fens - thats nowhere near me ad getting towards the dreary middle part of the country.

 

Lahndan and proper dahn Sarrrfffff is well overrated though

The medias obsession with Lahndan is also galling.

 

Would there even be any sheep for me to shag down there? I'm very particular about my sheep.
