Pretty dull half. We're missing Giroud's hold up play and our attacking players look uncertain who to give the ball to in the final third. I think we need to play more directly with this set up instead of trying to hold the ball up and bring other players into the attack. I'd like to see us use the wings more with some runs from Walcott and Cazorla and cut the ball back for Pod and Wilshere, we're not getting much joy from trying to find the pass into the box from the eighteen yard line.
Hope Wenger doesnt wait until 80 mins to make changes, Arteta and Flamini together isnt working in a game like this
Okay, trying to be positive here, but the team's not giving me much to work with. We need Podolski to stop dropping deep, when the ball does get forward, there's nobody in the box, so he needs to stay further up the pitch. I'd also consider taking off one of the holding players, dropping Jack or Santi into CM, and bring on Bendtner or Gnabry
Not a bad performance at all, some people over react. Considering the weather/pitch conditions it's not suprising how the game is panning out, especially with Cardiff looking to sit in an organised formation. Despite that we have had almost constant posession and created several chances and should have had a penalty. We miss Giroud in the middle up top, might be worth giving Bendtner a chance down the middle with Podolski out wide. We need someone to show a bit more hunger and really try to get at them - Walcott seems the main person trying to get in behind and score but towards the end of the half Cazorla and Wilshere both started to look really up for it as well. Sill confident we can get a result.
By the comments on here you'd never know you were having a great season... They are playing everyone behind the ball and are trying to impress an in coming manager...you are just grinding them down...like they did v toon...some of you just love a moan

Still its been dreadful. Virtually no movement and no creativity and too slow in the buildup. We need a spark of pace.

At the game, some of the fans around me are saying this game is the worst half of the sesson. My question is why do we need both Flini and Arteta against Cardiff? We have had no shot on tsrget, final bsll been poor, why is Pod playing so deep, why are we playing like we have Giroud to win the headers, Theo is not going to win balls like that....

Are you all watching the same game? Cardiff are putting everyone behind the ball, on a pitch which is obviously getting waterlogged and poor wind conditions, with no big man up top. It's no surpise that it isn't silky clean football. But we are keeping the ball and we are creating opportunities, which granted aren't being finished particularly well! We will wear them down and get a goal.
