Only about 700 people live in my "town" which is like 20 miles wide. Its more of a post office code than a town, but there is a bar in a barn next to our one stop sign. There is an old minning town a few miles past that, they have a bar but they arnt my kind of people. There just isnt much in Cali as far as citys go unless you are on the coast. Hull is bigger than Sacramento for instance. I would go to Lake Tahoe but driving back over the mountains on those roads would be dangerous with all the ice and drunk folk. I dont know anyone in Cali who doesnt live in SF. Im just not a very friendly person, even though I ramble on and on on this forum.

Already back to bed after a night out, Liverpool is fun for a good night out with friends, but when you're over here on your own it's a bit of a yawn, oh well. Here's to a win tomorrow!

Was meant to be at a house party but that idea bombed so ended up at the Walkabout, nostalgically gazing at fireworks going off over the Harbour Bridge in Sydney which ended up bumming me out and causing me to decide to bail early and head back to my hostel.

I am, the Walkabout is an Australian chain of pubs, so it was showing highlights of the fireworks in Sydney.

Probably don't know Liverpool well enough, but it's certianly in the district where all the clubs/bars seem to be.

This is the kind of thing I find mental about the States. For all it's vast size there are few big cities. (New York, LA and Chicago being the biggest three and then the UK can probably top the rest). The rest just seems to be hic towns and random countryside, cornfields or deserts.

I would absolutely love to drive across the US in some ridiculous 4-6 litre Mustang or Cadillac. Spend 6 months there and really experience every stereotype the country has to offer.

Having said that, right now this very minute I am bringing in the UK New Year with a Blanton's Gold Single Barrel - straight from Frankfort, Kentucky. And there are also some good real ales from the US these days. And that's not to mention the cannabis legalisation in Colorado as of midnight tonight. Jeez, this country is moving forward under Obama!!

It is! Only a bit up the road from that, I'm at Hatters, marked by the green light.

Hull Clubbing was ok, but I only ever went to Sugar Mill because I don't know it well enough.

What room were you? I'm in a room all on my own with four beds, so if you tell me I can easily change to get away from whatever you've left on the mattress.

Getting a bit old now so back home for 1.30 and watching a bit of Jools Holland before bed (Haim dong a good version of some Cream stuff). Wishing everyone (including AKCJ, Smuginantibes and God knows who) a very happy and healthy year in 2014.

Hahaha might be, I'm right at the end on the ground floor. My shower sprays all over the floor when I turn it on.
