Thank you Farwest you will be a good source of Essaid Belkalem information because the club aand Watford Observer can fail sometimes.
I was looking at Wikipedia and we have two new players already from the clubs lists. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mathias_Ranégie of Sweden. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexander_Merkel of Kazakhstan and Germany.
They can't be signed until tomorrow so they will not be able to play at Yeovil, but they could play against Bristol City. I wonder whether the team for that game will be experimental?
My memory is fading - but I'm sure that we have in the past played players on the same day that they signed for the club. Just can't remember the names...
I see we were fined the "standard" £5,000 for undisciplined conduct for the players surrounding the referee at Ipswich
Flippin ref should be made to pay half of that - it was his shocking decision that caused the reaction.
41.3 Subject to Regulations 41.4 and 41.5, a Player will only be eligible to play in a match organised by The League if the appropriate forms for his Standard Loan, Emergency Loan, Youth Loan or Emergency Loan of a goalkeeper transfer are received (including by facsimile) and found to be in order by the Executive: 41.3.1 in respect of any fixture played on a weekday when the Office is normally open, at least three hours before the match; I guess the question is whether or not the FL offices are open on New Years Day....
I think that applied when you could make transfers any time during the season up until deadline day which, if I remember correctly, was usually about mid-March.
It's good we are doing business early. On the point of when they could sign - the window has to be open and the paperwork completed so as the 1st was a BH then it's unlikely to have been possible but certainly the registration has to be confirmed something like midday the day before a match or maybe midnight? Either way they do need some hours to check the paperwork and clear the player so they definitly would not have been available for Yeovil.
Not according to the rules - for a midweek match, it's three hours before the game is played apparently, and according to the Beeb there were nine transfers completed on day one...
http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sp...f_Watford_want_Bellerin_and_Thorne_to_return/ Anyone else sensing that we've seen the last of these two?
I'd like to keep them both TBH but then we have got a midfielder in now and Bepe might want his own left back.
