Easy enough to keep the goals conceded down when you stick all 11 men behind the ball and rarely commit more than 3 or 4 players forward in an attack.
Our worst performance of the season and it took you 2 deflected goals to beat us. That shows your attacking quality Don't worry though, its not like every club managed by Steve Bruce in the premier league have eventually been relegated or are in the process of relegation...
Why are you all desperate to get into the premier league then? Its funny seeing supporters say that when they start crying at relegation and storming the pitch when you get promoted.
I'm not desperate, are neither are many I go with. Don't get me wrong, we're happy with 'success' but the Prem's really not the best place for football fans. Anyway, no offence meant and safe journey to the Liverpool fans making the trip to Merseyside.
Not under his leadership they haven't. Bruce has only been relegated once - with Birmingham & they bounced straight back the following season. He's a much under rated manager & one whom you shouldn't be laughing at, given that he lead his side to a victory over you only a few short weeks ago. He's done a cracking job at Hull.
He's always done well against Liverpool, we rarely beat any side managed by Steve Bruce. But the pattern for Bruce is the same at every club, buy a load of players that haven't made the grade at Man Utd and sign **** British players e.g. Bramble, Cattermole
If he can keep us "stabilised", i'd be happy with that. As fans of Hull city, i'm afraid we can't realistically expect anything more, maybe a cup, but we just don't have the moolah that the likes of yourselves and Man u ect have. It would be interesting to see what he could achieve at a rich club.
you need to do what the baggies done and get yourself stabilized in the prem, then you can work on improving slowly and being an established prem club. lot of money in football now days though, and hard for clubs who have limited money, we are struggling the other end for money and cl issues as well.
Palacios, Valencia, Rodallega, N'Zogbia, Figueroa?????? Wigan made tasty profit on them to boot..............
And where are they all now? Bruce just got lucky that clubs bought them on the back of 1 or 2 decent seasons. Valencia & possibly Figueroa the only long term successes out of them all. And even Valencia was poor for a long time at Man Utd.
Absolutely Dave, but you also have to expect a response. I'm sure you do the same when people call Liverpool
