What happened to Anderson though? He was awesome for Gremio and Porto, but was he not an AM that would gamble, take players on, doing things such as http://youtu.be/0mnMKLiFEbY 55 seconds to be exact of the things he could pull off. Same with Lucas for us for a long time, he was an AM at Gremio! bombing forward, etc. Not sure why Rafa and SAF wanted to change these players so much.
i support liverpool, have done since 94, im just sick of the dross we keep buying/playing over the past 2 decades, lucas is just one of many players in our current squad who i don't belive is good enough to be in a team looking to win the title. i single him out the most because he seems to be the one getting the most support we leads me to believe fans are actually happy to accept these players. lucas might be good enough for a team wanting europa league but for me he is too error prone and never seems to make any impact on a game, rarely scores, rarely assists and since he became a regular we havent got close to finishing top4. whats even more annoying is we had the best midfield in europe at one stage with gerrard/alonso/masch/sissoko, now we have gerrard(injured a lot) mereles/ lucas/ poulsen/ spearing - possibly the worst in top 5 teams. prob is with this forum people don't like different opinions, the majority like lucas so therefore anyone that doesnt must be a wum. for me the only players good enough for a title winning team are reina aggar kelly johnson(sub) carragher (sub) gerrard mereles (sub) kuyt (sub) suarez carrol imo adam would be an improvement over lucas as he knows how to score, gets lots of assists and is great at set peices, henderson im not sure about, we need at least 1 winger, 1 LD and 1 striker gk reina LD ????? enrique/clichy CD aggar CD carragher RD kelly LM ????? mata RM ????? maxi/kuyt/ CM gerrard CM adam/mereles AM Suarez str carrol str ????? messi

well we have been rumoured with that young striker from ipswich wickham? ngog should go imo not good enough either. i think suarez plays better just behind the strikers or as a wide man playing in a 3 man strike force, we really could do with an established experienced striker who can go stright into the first team, someone like you said who can compliment carroll, perfect choice would be tevez or sanchez but they aint happening.

This is a Liverpool board, if Manchester United fans want to post, they can do so as long as it has relevance to Liverpool and/or the topic. Stop going on about Manchester United or Fergie, its boring, seriously, couldn't give a toss. On topic - I wouldn't mind Adam, I don't think Miereles should be sold at all. I think Cole and Poulsen will be sold and Spearing and Shelvey should be loaned out. If you put it like that we don't have a full midfield. Remember, injuries occur and we need quality and depth around the whole squad. If we do what I said above, we will only have the following for the midfield: Maxi Henderson Gerrard Lucas Miereles Adam Spearing (Loan) Shelvey (Loan) Hardly a packed midfield considering only four of the six's natural positions are in the center. Wouldn't mind Adam personally, if we can get him for a good price, why not? He does have Premier League experience and would be a decent squad player.
what about giving pacheco/suso/sterling a chance? if pacheco doesnt break through this season i see no reason for him to hang around any longer. pity i rate him

Good point. Suso and Sterling are too young yet, they probably get a chance in the early stages of the Carling cup but I can't see anything else for them unfortunately. Pacheco is a great prospect and might be given a chance here and there from Kenny, but I think we have too many other players who deserve it more than him at this stage, although I agree he needs to be given a chance.
