On form he's actually world class IMO

Problem is that is not as often as it should be - in fact more often bad than good

When he's not on form/in the mood he looks lazy and cumbersome and gets very frustrating.

He is also capable of being ****e for 89 minutes and then popping up with an unbelieveable goal out of nothing.

He is not a striker though - plays his best football off the wing. Play him as a striker and 99% of the time you'll get the ****e Samaras

Ladies and Gentlemen, it's come in right at the death but here I think we have THE best statement of 2013. I salute you.

Update - Bucko has just tweeted that he understands Samaras is a back-up option.

I hope he's a backup to a backup option. He only looks semi decent because he plays in the Dog and Duck league.

As a season ticket holder at Internazionale I saw quite a few as it goes: Javier Zanetti, Luis Figo, Estebian Cambiasso, Julio Cesar, Douglas Maicon, Wesley Sneijder, Patrick Viera, Ibra - all world class at their peak. Whereas I would wager that if you asked anyone in the world - including Lennon, any top football coach, football fans who arent you, Samaras and Samaras' mum - then not one would name Georgie Boy in their top 50 strikers currently playing in the world.

Deffo - a ‘goal scrounger’ and it was a pejorative term.

If it was a straight swap with Tom Cairney going to Celtic then it would be a great deal for us. Not sure he worth £1m though.

We have apparently approached Bradford with regard to Wells, but so have a couple of other clubs.

Maybe they'll take Prozzy in part-exchange?

Probably not as much as Bradford are looking for.

He is one for the future but not now. imo. I would buy him but leave him @ Bradford for the season.

Samaras for a million wouldn't be a bad buy, but if this is true, then I think that will mean Prossy/McLean, as we already know will be out, plus Graham being recalled, or Matty Fryatt being sold, possibily as rumoured to Forest. That would hopefully leave Samaras, Long, Sagbo and either Graham or Fryatt, which wouldn't be a bad line up of Strikers.

Wells is 23, 24 in June, and has been at Bradford since 20011, just my opinion but at that age he would need to be around our first team squad if we sign him not playing in league 1.
