I was pleased with yesterday's result as it looks like our recovery is continuing, special praise for Sean Murray,Troy Deeney, Lloyd Doyley, Mcgugan and Almunia they were terrific! Bellerin not so sure and as for Fabrinni, totally out of his playing level, completely lazy!
Well done to the rest of the team tho........

This is true about many coaches and the problem of the England job. The newspapers build them up and then when they cannot achieve what the journalists want get smashed down, or they are made bad by trying to chose footballers the journalists do not like or from favoured teams.

Funny how different people see different things! I'd agree that Murray & Deeney had good games & that Fabrinni had a bit of a shocker - but thought that McGugan & Doyley both had 'quiet' games & Almunia wasn't really tested enough to be able to say one way or the other.

And, for a pleasant change, I thought the ref played well too. :)

Bit like with GT - ironic because the media cry for an English coach yet the 2 who got the most stick in the job were McLaren and Taylor.

Much like with club players those international stars often need to take a good look at their own performances.

In a way I am glad he is doing well with Derby...

Very evenly matched game yesterday and 2 teams who look like they could play for 90 hours without scoring. For me Murray was immense and McGugan was Ok, but a few poor passes. Fabbrini either needs more playing time to improve his decision making and his running off of the ball or should be dropped if FF is fit - obvious I know, but to keep making unforced changes is the root cause of some of our problems. But the new manager has instilled more discipline in defence, although Ekstrand looks very unsteady at times. Deeney still needs to lose a few pounds to make him more mobile.

I think this whole debate about the rivalry between The Steptoes and Watford so funny. I remember being in The Red Lion on a Boxing Day back in the early 80's laughing at a Rangers fan who was trying to insist that we were their main rivals...just because they have come down from the Prem they think that they are such a bigger club than their small town rivals, but forget where they come from. I have a good mate who is a Chelsea fan who absolutely hates QPR, but does not consider them a rival at all. Yesterday, for a club to sell out their allocation they were the quietest supporters all season. But for sure there is one thing that QPR have that is much bigger than Watford's - that is their debt.

Sorry Dan, but having seen the incident on the FL show highlights, I'm going to agree with Watford_R on this as Hoilett seemed to be looking towards where the ball was coming from. All credit to Manu for some brave keeping.

I would suggest that you look at the incident again and think what if it had been at the other end involving Deeney and Green.

Yeah, sorry I was wrong. It looked 10 times worse from behind the goal. But looking at the replays Manu was very brave!

I must be in the minority and thought Fabrini had a good game. Thought he was the only one with a bit of pace about him and wanted to attacked the defence. The main problem was when he broke too fast he had very little support, and the way QPR was set up, he was very quickly surrounded and had no options. I just thought towards the end he was getting a bit tired and played some loose passes, so was right to sub him

Otherwise Angella was his usual composed self. Doyley looked a bit nervous and didn't like being closed down so quickly. Murray did ok in parts, but only in parts, like a few players

It was a well-deserved and hard-fought point, against a team who should be up there with all the players at their disposal. 1 goal conceded in the last 3 shows a significant improvement at the back, and once that is sorted, we will move forward.

Salisbury - I don't think Fabrini had a bad game just that at times his decision making is poor and his running off the ball can be improved. But as I wrote above, he needs match time playing alongside Deeney to improve. Personally I would play him on NYD against Yeovil and against Brizzle in the cup and give him that time.

Yawn - got bored after the first paragraph suggesting QPR were more prolific in front of goal than Watford - not according to the match stats.

Yorkshire - "But for sure there is one thing that QPR have that is much bigger than Watford's - that is their debt" - sorry I disagree - there are two things you forgot their ego - read above if you don't agree.

I'm not sure you even read that far. The first five paragraphs bemoan us having a striker out on loan. Maybe get over yourself.

Yellotoyou it's New Years Eve relax for goodness sake.

Entertaining but unsurprisingly biased read thanks Watford_R.

This is getting silly now. There is nothing more to say about the match. So lets move on to the Yeovil match!
