I think he thinks City Till I Die is an anti-Allam chant rather than a pro-City one so I wouldn't be surprised. I don't think it as offensive as telling those people who collected money to save City from liquidation not to come to the KC to watch his football team if they sing City Till I Die.

Interesting how it's easy to misinterpret something isn't it? See, I understood his comment about CTID to mean it's nothing to do with him when they die, they can die when they want to. Which is true.
But I didn't suggest otherwise, I objected to the second part of the quote which said we should stop coming to watch his team, which is what I said at the time. I think it is disgusting that people with decades of support should be told that they cannot sing City Till I Die and watch their team because he wants to change the name.
I think the club fortunes could suffer when AA does die as the recipients of his wealth may not have the same passion for football.There are plenty of businesses in this City which have suffered when children get their hands on the family silver. Just replying to the title of the thread...don't have an opinion on the history argument,don't chant ,sit in the West stand and enjoy the football. To the rest of the world we are known as Hull and so the name change is meaningless to all but the locals.
There have been scores of articles by writers deploring the name change. It would have been the same for any league club that as being tampered with. The 'rest of the world' does understand the issue at stake and has stated where it stands.
