That could be a good option. The problem with all this, for me at any rate, is that our midfielders don't provide enough opportunities for the centre-forward. Having a player like Bent, who is essential a goal-poacher, would just magnify those failings. We do need another forward; however, unless HR can fix the problems in midfield, which might be the result of HR's tactics (or the legacy of McClaren's), the acquisition of another forward, especially one like Bent, will have absolutely no bearing on our results.

What was his record like for you? Did he score many / any? Surely must be doing something right to be at Spuds? Did he just not fit into your team or is he (honestly) just that bad?

Or maybe it's also that our midfield hold on to the ball to long as our lone striker does not or cannot get into threatening positions working up front alone A combination of Redknapps tactics and only playing 1 up front.
